The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has officially released the timetable for the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) improvement examinations. The exams are scheduled to take place between June 15 and July 1.
ICSE examinations will begin at 11:00 AM, while ISC papers are generally scheduled from 2:00 PM onwards. However, art subject examinations for ISC candidates will start earlier at 9:00 AM.
School authorities have confirmed that the same level of discipline and examination security followed during the main board exams will also be maintained for the improvement tests. Exam halls will remain isolated from regular school activities to ensure a controlled environment.
Since a comparatively smaller number of students have registered for these examinations, selected convenor schools in different zones will conduct the tests on behalf of CISCE.
Several schools have reported that more ISC students are appearing for improvement examinations than ICSE candidates. Educational administrators suggest that many Class 10 students are already focused on their Class 11 syllabus, which began earlier in the academic session.
Some examination centres are expected to host hundreds of ISC candidates, including students from multiple schools.
To ensure fairness and transparency, invigilators and supervising examiners will be appointed externally rather than from the host schools themselves.
CISCE has also continued its re-check and re-evaluation facility for students dissatisfied with their examination results.
A re-check mainly verifies totaling and calculation accuracy, while re-evaluation involves a complete reassessment of answer scripts by subject experts.
