The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has advised schools not to pay attention to claims spreading across different platforms suggesting that question papers for the ongoing board examinations have been leaked.
The council informed school authorities that strong safeguards are already in place to protect the credibility and confidentiality of the examination process. These steps include strict procedures for the storage, transportation, and handling of examination papers.
According to the council, the information circulating online about leaked papers for the current ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) examinations is inaccurate. Schools have been encouraged to treat such claims as misinformation and avoid spreading them further.
Administrators have also been asked to guide students, parents, and staff members so they do not become influenced by misleading posts shared on social media or other digital platforms. CISCE assured stakeholders that the 2026 board examinations are being conducted in a smooth, secure, and fair manner.
Several school principals mentioned that the council has introduced additional safeguards this year to strengthen exam security. Each question paper is sealed and candidates are required to open it only when the official reading time begins.
In addition, every paper carries a unique identification number and a watermark that runs across its pages. These features help authorities trace the origin of a paper if a breach occurs, making it easier to identify the source in the unlikely event of a leak.
