Candidates who could not register on the online portal for spot admission are also invited to attend the walk-in writtern test and interview scheduled on 31/07/2025 at all three designated venues.
Last date for submission of online application is 27/07/2025.
RGNIYD calls for Spot Admission on 31/07/2025 for vacant seats in various PG Programmes.

Spot Admission through Written Examination & Interview will be held selection for the following courses offered by RGNIYD for the academic session 2025-26:

M.Sc. Applied Psychology
M.A. English
M.A. Sociology
M.A. Social Work
M.A. Public Administration (offered at Chandigarh Regional Centre)
M.A. Development Studies (offered at Chandigarh Regional Centre)

All the eligible candidates may avail the opportunity of SPOT ADMISSION for the above mentioned courses on 31/07/2025. for further details visit RGNIYD website i.e. www.rgniyd.gov.in.

RGNIYD calls for Open Admission on 31/07/2025 for vacant seats in various PG Programmes. Aspiring candidates can appear for the open admission as detailed below:

The admission shall be given on the basis of score secured in the RGNIYD eligibility entrance test and interview to be held on 31/07/2025.
The reporting time for Open Admission is 08:00 A.M. on 31/07/2025.
Admissions for all departments will be conducted at the following venues:
1. Sriperumbudur Campus
2. Chandigarh Campus
3. Guwahati University
The interested candidates are advised to bring their original documents (UG Mark Sheets, Degree Certificates, Category Certificate, XII & X Mark Sheet, TC, Migration Certificate) with one set photo copies and 5 passport size photos.
Document verification will be done from 08:15 A.M. to 09:30 A.M. in the respective centres. Eligibile candidates will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Test.
Students are instructed to submit their online application form available at www.rgniyd.gov.in, on or befor 27/07/2025.
MCQ based Entrance Test will be conducted from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
There will be 50 MCQs and 50 questions subjective on a composition of questions from core subjects and general knowledge/logical reasoning.
No negetive marking. The syllabus for Entrance Test will be on par with UG level for the Programme in which you have opted for admission at RGNIYD.
the test results will be declared on the same day. The shortlisted candidates will be undergoing an interview process and admission will be given from 05:30 P.M. onwards based on merit on the same day.
Admission Fee sahll be paid only through online mode.
The institute gives no confirmation to any candidates to be admitted, unless he/she appears in person for documents verification and subsequently appeared in the Entrance Test. So, Interested candidates has to report for admission at his/her own interest.
The number of vacant seats is provisional subject to susequent cancellation of admission or change of admission category.

Eligibility Criteria

M.A.	English	B.A./ B.Sc. three years course or equivelent degree/any Bachelor’s degree with English as one of the subjects from a recognised University with a minimum of 50% of marks. Reservation/ Relaxation as per GOI reservation rules.
M.Sc.	Applied Psychology	B.A./ B.Sc. three years course in Psychology/any Bachelor’s degree with Psychology as one of the subjects for at least four semesters from a recognised University with a minimum of 50% of marks. Reservation / Relaxation as per GOI reservation rules.
M.A.	Sociology	Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% of marks. Reservation / Relaxation as per GOI researvation rules.
M.A.	Public Administration	Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% of marks. Reservation / Relaxation as per GOI reservation rules.
M.S.W.	Social Work	Any bachelor's degree with a minimum of 45% marks in any discipline from a recognised University/Institute.
M.A.	Development Studies	Bachelors degree in discipline with minimum 45% marks or equivalent grade from a recognised university (Relaxation of 5% marks for SC / ST / PwBD / D-OBC (NCL) / Defence / KM).

UGC Guidelines
RGNIYD follows the reservation policy as per UGC Guidelines / Instructions.

Duration of the Academic Programme
The duration of each post graduate programme will be four semesters. The curriculum has been designed in such a way that an aspiring candidate can take six months full-fledged projects at any national/international organisations or leading MNCs.

Number of Seats
The institute shall have the discretion to enhance or reduce the number of seats for all the courses
