Admission to Diploma in Agriculture, Organic Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering Courses of PJTAU for the academic year 2025-26.

The University has established Polytechnics in various locations throughout the State and also accorded affiliation to a few Private Polytechnics to boost the agricultural sector and to create technical manpower in agriculture.

PJTAU is offering the following Diploma Courses:

  • Diploma in Agriculture (2 Years)
  • Diploma in Organic Agriculture (2 Years)
  • Diploma in Agricultural Engineering (3 Years)
The medium of instruction in all the polytechnics of PJTAU is English.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates seeking admission into Diploma Courses at PJTAU must have appeared for POLYCET-2025 under the Agricultural stream, conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Hyderabad.
  • Candidate should have passed SSC Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, T.S. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, T.S. such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), X Class Examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Science as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
Selection Criteria
  • The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made based on the ranks obtained by the candidates under the MBiPC Stream in the Telangana POLYCET-2025 conducted by SBTET.
  • If tie occurs in the ranks of POLYCET, then the OGPA obtained in SSC or its equivalent examination shall be considered.
  • If the tie still persists, the grade point obtained in the preferential order of Science, Maths, English, Telugu, Social and Hindi shall be taken into consideration.
  • If further tie exists, the age of the candidates shall be taken into consideration and the older candidates shall be given preference for the seat.

Fee Structure for Various Diploma Courses
Payment of application fee for SC/ST/PH candidates is Rs. 600/- (for all other candidates it is Rs. 1200/-). The applicant has to select Rupay Debit Card/UPI/Debit Card/Credit Card (Visa/Master Card)/Internet Banking option to pay the fee and follow the online instructions to complete the payment of fee. The application fee, once paid, shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • The fee particulars of Diploma courses to be paid at the time of admission are as follows:
    University Polytechnics Affiliated Polytechnics
    Rs. 19,645/- Rs. 24,000/-
    The hostel and mess charges are additional.
  • If the admitted candidate cancels his/her seat before the closure of admissions for the AY 2025-26, an amount of Rs. 1,000/- shall be collected as processing fee. The remaining fees already paid during the admission shall be refunded.
  • If the admitted candidate cancels his/her seat after the closure of admissions for the AY 2025-26, the candidate forfeits the fees already paid and in addition, he/she has to pay processing fee of Rs. 1,000/-.
Other Information
  • The guidelines issued by the Government of Telangana from time to time shall be followed scrupulously, including the reservations.
  • The University may send SMS to the applicants for the purposes related to counselling. Hence, the candidates are informed to mention their personal mobile numbers but not the mobile numbers of relatives, friends, net/online/xerox centres. The candidate should visit the University website (www.pjtau.edu.in) frequently for updated and latest admission information.
  • It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure that he/she fulfills the specified eligibility criteria before submitting the online application.
  • The applicant has to first pay the application registration fee. A payment reference number will be generated for all successful online payments.
  • The payment of the application fee for SC/ST/PH candidates is Rs. 600/-, while for other candidates, it is Rs. 1200/-. The applicant has to select the Rupay Debit Card/UPI/Debit Card/Credit Card (Visa/Master Card)/Internet Banking option to pay the fee and follow the online instructions to complete the payment of the fee.
  • The application fee, once paid, shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • After the successful payment, the applicant has to fill in all the details of the application and upload the required documents.
  • On successful completion of payment and submission of the online application form, the Application Number will be generated and this can be used for future reference.
  • Mere payment of the registration fee does not complete the application process. The candidate has to fill in the online application form and submit it online to finish the application process.
  • Candidates are informed that mere submission of an online application and attending counselling does not guarantee the allotment of a seat.
  • The candidate who secures a seat should submit the certificates in Original along with the prescribed fees at the time of counselling itself. The detailed fee structure shall be placed on the University website www.pjtau.edu.in along with the admission notification.
  • If the admitted candidate cancels his/her seat before the closure of admissions for the AY 2025-26, an amount of Rs. 2,000/- shall be collected as processing fee. The remaining fees already paid during admission shall be refunded.
  • If the admitted candidate cancels his/her seat after the closure of the admissions process for the AY 2025-26, the candidate forfeits the fees already paid (except the caution deposits). In addition, he/she has to pay an amount of Rs. 2,000/- towards processing fee.
  • The EWS seats are supernumerary. Hence, leftover seats in the said category shall not be filled up.
  • Candidates called for counselling shall have to attend the same at their own cost only. One of the parents/guardians of the candidate shall be allowed to attend counselling.
  • The certificates of the candidates under special categories (PH, CAP, NCC & SPORTS) shall be verified by the authorities concerned. The University will not interfere in the process of preparation of priority/merit lists. The University allots seats to the candidates based on the priorities indicated by the respective competent authorities.
  • In case the information furnished or the certificates uploaded by the candidates are found to be false, the University shall take appropriate action against the individuals concerned and his/her application shall be summarily rejected at any point of the admission process.
  • The candidates selected for provisional admission in Spot counselling, admitted under relaxed guidelines i.e., without TG POLYCET Rank, are not eligible for any Scholarship.
  • The counselling procedure and schedule shall be displayed on the University website (www.pjtau.edu.in) after the completion of the application process. Hence, applicants are informed to visit the University Website for information from time to time.
  • The University does not guarantee any employment to the candidates.
  • Only 15% of the total intake (of that corresponding academic year) of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) are reserved for the passed out Diploma holders for an entry into the concerned UG courses through AGRICET (B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture) and AGRIENGGCET (B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering)) entrance examinations conducted by the University.
  • The University is not responsible for any information provided on websites other than at www.pjtau.edu.in.
  • Parents and students are informed that the admissions are purely based on merit and as per the guidelines of the University. Hence, they are requested not to rely on any middlemen/persons who try to mislead the students in securing admission into PJTAU under any quota.
  • All the seats shall be filled by the University only through counselling.
