Admission Rules

• All applicants should have pass marks in English having full marks not less than 100 in 10+2 level examination.
• Compulsory environmental education/studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks in 10+2 level examination.
• Aggregate marks should be taken as best of four subjects in 10+2 level examination.
• Those who want to apply for B.Com. Honours (Accounting and Finance) course, must have 60% marks in Accountancy / Mathematics and 60% marks in aggregate in 10+2 level examination.
• Those who want to apply for B.Com. (General) course, must have pass marks in 10+2 level examination (as per CU rules).
• Those applying for B.A. Honours (English) course, must have 60% marks in English and 60% marks in aggregate in 10+2 level examination.
• Those applying for B.A. Honours (Bengali) course, must have 50% marks in Bengali and 40% marks in aggregate or 55% marks in Bengali in 10+2 level examination.
• Candidates applying for B.A. (General) course must have pass marks in 10+2 level examination (as per CU rules).
• For Honours candidate, applicants have to pass 10+2 examination from ISC, CBSE or WBCHSE board and for the General candidate the boards are ISC, CBSE, WBCHSE and NIOS.
• For B.A. (Honours), applicants have to choose two general/pass subjects from the given options.
• For B.A. (General), applicants have to choose any three subjects from the given options.
• All candidates have to study two compulsory language subjects apart from the above mentioned subjects.
• B.A. Candidates must take English as compulsory subject. For B.Com, Communicative English will be the compulsory subject.
• Candidates have to choose Hindi / Urdu / Bengali as another compulsory subject along with compulsory English (B.A.) / Communicative English (B.Com.).
• Paste the Photograph and Signed Guardian Signature at the time of Admission.

Those who do not satisfy any of the above mentioned rules cannot submit the application form. Any violation of rules or misinterpretation of facts will lead to cancellation of application form without any prior notice.
