Admission to Post Graduate (PG) Courses for the academic session 2025-2026

As per the notification of No.986-Edn (U)/HED-12016(21)/5/2025-UNV SEC-Dept. of HE dated 1st August, 2025 of Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, Online Applications are invited for admission to different 2 years PG Courses for the session of 2025-26.
Eligible students are advised to log in to PG ADMISSION tab in brsnc.in for details Online PG Admission process, eligibility criteria, fees structure, etc. before filling up the online form.

The tentative schedule of admission will be as follows:

Date of Notification for Admission to PG Courses for the session 2025-2026 by the college	02/08/2025
Commencement of Online Application (Filling up of Forms through college portal)	08/08/2025
Last date of online Application	20/08/2025 (till 04:59 P.M.)
Publication of Provisional Merit Lists for PG courses	22/08/2025 (after 03:00 P.M.)
Rectification of Provisional Merit lists, if required	23/08/2025
Publication of Final merit list (After rectification, if any for PG Courses) along with First PG Admission Lists	25/08/2025 (after 03:00 P.M.)
On line provisional admission to PG Courses according to First PG Admission Lists	25/08/2025 - 27/08/2025 (till 11:59 pm)
Publication of 2nd Admission lists for different PG courses (If the merit lists are not exhausted and seats are vacant)	28/08/2025 (after 03:00 P.M.)
On line Provisional admission to PG Courses according to Second PG Admission Lists	29/08/2025 - 31/08/2025 (till 11:59 P.M.)
Physical Verification of Documents & Commencement of Class	01/09/2025

Applicants should note that any falsification of information during the admission process will leads to cancellation of candidature at any stage of the process.

Eligibility Criteria

General Rules:

Honours graduates who have passed in 10+2+3 system or its equivalent from UGC recognised Universities in the year 2025, 2024 & 2023.
Candidates who have appeared in University examinations other than West Bengal State University may apply for the "20% of seats" for Other University Quota.
Application Form to be submitted online.

Masters of Science
Microbiology	B.Sc. Honours in Microbiology from WBSU or any university recognised by UGC
Mathematics	B.Sc. Honours in Mathematics from WBSU or any university recognised by UGC.
Computer Science	B.Sc. Honours in Computer Science from WBSU or any university recognised by UGC.
Geography	B.Sc. Honours in Geography from WBSU or any university recognised by UGC.
Food and Nutrition	B.Sc. Honours in Food & Nutrition/Chemistry/Physiology from WBSU or any university recognised by UGC.
Masters of Commerce
Accounts, Finance and Control	B.Com. Honours degree with Accounts and Finance from WBSU or any university recognised by UGC.
Marketing Management	B.Com. Honours degree with Marketing / BBA with Marketing from WBSU or any university recognised by UGC.
Masters of Arts
Education	B.A. Honours degree with Education from WBSU or any university recognised by UGC.
Journalism & Mass Communications	B.A. Honours degree with Journalism & Mass Communication from WBSU or any university recognised by UGC.

In pursuance of the Higher Education Departments Memo No.543-Edn (CS)/10M-95/14 dated 09th August, 2024, 80% seats are reserved for students from West Bengal State University and 20% seats reserved for other university students. However, if 80% seats reserved for home University remain unfilled, those may fill up with the Undergraduates of other universities. Similarly, if the 20% seats reserved for the students from other universities remain unfilled, those may fill up with the students of home university.

The reservations of SC/ST/BC/EWS/PH etc. however are reserved according to existing Government of West Bengal norms.
