MCA Admission for the academic session 2025-2026

Admissions are made from candidates who have passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline under (10+2+3) system with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects at 10+2 level or at graduate level and having at least 50% marks on an average in the graduation level. Such candidates will have to be qualified in the Joint Entrance Examination (JECA) conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board and recommended by the Board. There is a provision of up to 10% of seats to be filled up through Management Quota.

Admission Procedure
Candidates seeking admission to the first semester of the four-semester MCA course are required to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examination (JECA) for admission to Master of Computer Application conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board.

Students are admitted through EWS Quota as well and as per guidelines of competent authority.
Fee Structure
Break-up for initial deposit to be made at the time of admission:

2nd Semester to 4th Semester - Rs. 70,000/- (per semester)
Caution Deposit (one time only, refundable) Rs.15,000/-
Students Welfare Games and Sports Fee (one time only) Rs. 2,000/-
Admission Kit Rs. 1,000/-
University (MAKAUT, formerly WBUT) Students’ Development Fees (@ Rs. 550/- per annum, one time only) Rs. 1,100/-
Total Fees payable at the time of admission Rs. 1,01,100/-
** Tuition fees for candidates admitted under Management Quota would be decided by the Management as per guidelines of the State Government.

** Any other additional fees imposed by the MAKAUT or the State Govt. will be payable extra, as applicable.

** Payment (LESS THE AMOUNT PAID TO WBJEE BOARD) has to be made Online or by Demand Draft/Banker's Cheque/Pay Order, drawn in favour of "Heritage Institute of Technology", payable at Kolkata within specified date to be notified by WBJEE Board.

N.B.: The above fees may be revised, if so instructed by the Govt. of West Bengal

Documents as required at the time of admission
  • Create ABC (Academic Bank of Credit)-ID from the portal www.abc.gov.in.
  • Self attested copy of allotment letter (2 sets) along with the money receipt issued by PGET Board, MAKAUT against token money for spot admission.
  • Self attested copy of Caste Certificate.
  • Self Attested copy of PGET-2025 Admit Card & Rank Card.
  • Self Attested copy of GATE score card for GATE qualified candidates.
  • Self attested copy of Age Proof Certificate (Birth Certificate / 10th Admit Card).
  • Self attested copy of 10th or equivalent examination mark sheet.
  • Self attested copy of 12th or equivalent examination mark sheet.
  • Self attested copy of all semester graduation or equivalent examination mark sheet.
  • Original Migration Certificate for non MAKAUT graduates.
  • Self attested copy of Domicile Certificate compulsory for residents of West Bengal.
  • Original Medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
  • Original Eye certificate regarding "No Colour Blindness" from a registered eye specialist.
  • Self attested copy of Blood Group Certificate.
  • 3 (Three) recent passport size colour photographs.
  • Self attested copy of Character Certificate from School / College last attended.
  • Self attested copy of Aadhaar Card.
  • Anti-Ragging undertaking for each student and every parent should be made ONLINE (available at http://www.antiragging.in/affidavit_affiliated_form.php). After filling this form successfully one can download the Student's Anti Ragging Undertaking and the Parents Anti Ragging Undertaking from Website. Print copies of the two undertaking are required to be signed by the Student and the Parent respectively. Both the undertaking are required to deposit at the College at the time of Registration.
N.B.: Candidates are directed to note that they have to retain photocopies and soft copies of all the documents, as mentioned above, without fail, as it would be required for University Registration / Bank Loan / Miscellaneous purposes.

They are also directed to note that all documents in original shall have to be produced for verification at the time of admission.
