Admission to PG Course of Studies in Social Work (MSW) for the academic session 2025-2027

It is hereby notified for information of all intending candidates, as well as those who have already applied for admission to the Master of Social Work (MSW) Programme for the session 2025–2027, that apart from Amex Law College (already listed in the PG Admission Information Brochure), the University Authority has also granted affiliation to a newly approved centre, namely "Uttaran Institute of Social Science" for imparting the P.G. Course of Studies in Social Work (MSW) with an intake capacity of 60 (Sixty) students and the Admission Fees of the said centre is Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand Only).

Accordingly, candidates will now have the option to choose between the following centres of learning for pursuing the MSW Programme under the University of Burdwan:

• Amex Law College – Intake: 50 (Fifty) students
• Uttaran Institute of Social Science – Intake: 60 (Sixty) students

Candidates may exercise their option for the preferred Centre of Studies at the time of online counselling during the process of seat allocation. Allotment of centres will be made strictly on the basis of merit and in accordance with the preference exercised by the candidates during online counselling, subject to availability of seats.
Notification for publication of Online Counselling Notice (Phase 1) will be notified on 20/09/2025 in the University Website and the Online Merit Based Selection (Online Counselling) will be held on 25/09/2025.
All other terms and conditions of admission, as already notified in the PG Admission Information Brochure 2025–2027, shall remain unchanged.
