Admission Notice for Ph.D. programme in Home Science 2025-26

Applications are invited for admission to the Department of Home Science, University of Calcutta, for PhD Course and subsequent research work leading to PhD degree in Home Science. The application form, duly filled in, along with all the relevant documents, is to be submitted to the office of the Department of Home Science, University of Calcutta, 20B, Judges Court Road, Alipore, Kolkata 700027 after payment of Rs. 100/- (online) through SBI collect [ http://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect] within 28th November, 2025. The admission to the Ph.D. programme is guided as per rules and regulations of Calcutta University (2016) and other relevant rules and orders of the University. Admission will be made on the basis of a written test (RET) followed by a personal interview, whichever is applicable.

IMPORTANT DATES - RET -HOME SCIENCE, 2025

All candidates appearing for the RET 2025, in Home Science (Food and Nutrition or Human Development) have to report to the Secretary’s Office, Department of Home Science, 20B, Judges Court Road, Kolkata 700027, by 11:30 AM. The Examination is from 12 Noon. The allotted room numbers will be displayed on the Departmental Notice Board. It is mandatory for the candidates to carry Photo ID cards (Aadhar card or Passport or Pan Card, any one document) as their identity proof as well as a copy of the challan/receipt of the fees deposited.
