The minimum eligibility criterion for admission to any of the UG programmes is to pass the qualifying Higher Secondary (HS) or equivalent (10+2) examination from a recognised Board with a minimum percentage of marks (refer to section 4) with a relaxation of 5% for OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P) and ST(H) candidates. The minimum marks condition is not applicable to Specially Abled candidates.
The admission will be based on the merit list prepared with marks obtained in the best three subjects (for BA and BCA) and the best three Science subjects (for BSc) in HS/10+2 examination as mentioned in Section 6
BA (Honours) and BCA (Honours) programmes are open for students who have passed the qualifying examination in any stream (Science, Arts or Commerce), subject to the fulfilment of the criteria mentioned in Section 4.
To apply for admission to the BSc (Honours) programmes other than Mathematics, Statistics and Geography, the applicant must pass the qualifying examination with the minimum marks in the science stream (refer to Section 4).
1. For Geography honours, merit list shall be prepared with marks obtained in the best three subjects in HS/10+2 examination.
2. For Mathematics and Statistics honours, if the applicant passed the HS/10+2 examination in science stream, then the merit list shall be prepared with marks obtained in the best three science subjects and if she/he passed HS/10+2 in arts stream, then any three best subjects shall be considered.
However, for BSc (Honours) in Mathematics, Statistics and Geography, candidates from any stream (Science, Arts or Commerce) may apply, subject to the fulfilment of the criteria mentioned in Section 4
