If such seats remain unfilled, will be filled up by other applicants on the basis of merit.

  • Applicants should possess a three years Undergraduate Honours Degree following the 10+2+3 system.
  • Appearing candidates are not eligible to apply. The final result should be published on or before the last date of online application.

General Information
  • As per West Bengal Govt. Rules, there shall be reservation of 80% seats in each Programme for candidates who have Graduation with Honours in the respective subject from Home University (Kalyani University) and 20% seats will be for candidates from other universities. However, if 80% seats reserved for Home University students remain unfilled, those will be filled up with the candidates of other universities. Similarly, if the 20% seats reserved for the students from other universities remain unfilled, those will be filled up with the students of Home University.
  • Students of the University of Kalyani mean those candidates who have their qualifying degree (B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. Honours etc.) from the University of Kalyani and have their latest registration under the University of Kalyani and have not been migrated.
  • The reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks in favour of the reserved categories shall be as per the W.B. Govt. rules. Admissions are provisional and the same are subject to the outcome of the final result of the SLP being No. 1422/2025 before the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
Merit List Preparation Criteria
  • Merit List for 80% category (Home University) and 20% category (Other University) will be based on CGPA (in case of unavailability of CGPA, percentage of marks obtained in the Honours subject will be considered.). In case of tie, aggregate marks of best five subjects, obtained in Higher Secondary Examination, will be taken into consideration.
  • For all the Postgraduate programmes one seat is reserved for the candidates applying under "SPORTS QUOTA", available only for home university students. Such candidates should apply in a prescribed format. The seat of Sports Quota will be allotted from the available seats of the particular category in which the selected candidate belongs to. The scanned copy of filled up application should be uploaded and a copy should be sent to the email ID: hodphysical_edu@klyuniv.ac.in on or before Last date of online application.
  • Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination before 2024 are not eligible to apply.
