It is notified for information of all concerned that as per the existing rule of Gauhati University, if a student fails to attend classes for 15 days continuously from the date of commencement of classes, his/her seat gets forfeited automatically. As such, the Heads of the Teaching Departments are requested to delete the names of such students from the Enrolment Register. Also, there may be other vacant seats due to surrendering of seats by any student(s).
In this connection, the Head of the Departments are requested to fill-up all vacant seats, if any, by admitting eligible candidates from the already approved waiting list of the respective Departments in order of merit with proper notification provided that such candidates are not admitted into this or any other institution in the same or other course(s).
The last date for completing the entire process is 2:00 PM on 27 August, 2025. Concerned Head of the Departments are requested to send the list of admitted students with their SAMARTH Registration on the same day to the office of the undersigned (Room No-14) so that the payment gateway can be opened for these students. They will be allowed to make their payment within 28-08-2025.
Notification for admission against Endowment Seats is coming up.
The list of selected candidates for the six communities of Assam (Moran, Matak, Ahom, Tea Tribe, Koch Rajbongshi and Chutia) will be published on 26.08.2025 and admission will be held on 27.08.2025.
