Admission to M.Tech. in Information Technology for the academic session 2025-2026

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to M.Tech. Course in Information Technology (2 years, 4 semester full time course) for the session 2025-26 in the Department of Engineering & Technological Studies, University of Kalyani, Nadia District, West Bengal.

• Total Seats: 12 (Twelve)
  • Reservation as per existing rules and regulations. Any further direction from the higher authorities regarding reservation policy will be duly implemented.
  • Relaxation as per rules.
• Eligibility Criteria any one of the following:
  
  • B.Tech./B.E. in Information Technology Or Computer Science or Software Engineering Or Electronics & Instrumentation Engg. Or Electronics & Communication Engg.
  • MCA preceded by BCA or B.Sc. Honours (Maths/Stat).
  • M.Sc Information Technology/Computer Science preceded by B.Sc. Honours (Information Technology/Computer Science/Maths/Stat).
  Final year appearing candidates may also apply. However, at the time of admission, they must show the final marksheet.
• Admission Procedure:
  Merit list will be published on the basis of following assessment of candidates (out of 100 marks)

  Marks obtained in Secondary Examination or Equivalent Examination	Out of 10
  Marks obtained in Higher Secondary Examination or Equivalent Examination	Out of 10
  Marks obtained in B.E. / B.Tech./Last Qualifying Exam	Out of 20
  Valid GATE/NET in relevant subject	Out of 30
  Written Test and / or Interview (by the Department)	Out of 30

  For grade to percentage calculation: SGPA X 10 - 7.5 = Percentage

  Application fee is Rs. 300/- for General candidates & OBC Category and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST candidates, for differently able (PD) candidates Rs. 120/-.
