Admission to One year Certificate Programmes on Event Management, Theatre Art, Vocal Music and Sattriya Dance for the academic session 2025-2026
Online applications are invited from intending eligible candidates for admission into the One year Certificate Programmes in-
a) Event Management, b) Theatre Art, c) Vocal Music and d) Sattriya Dance of Dibrugarh University for the academic session 2025-2026.
About the Centre
The Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Centre for Studies in Performing Arts, Dibrugarh University, Assam is a pioneer institution in the field of Performing Arts in North East India established in the year 2008. The Centre is not only providing quality education through its graduate and post-graduate programmes in Sattriya Dance, Theatre Art and Vocal Music Programmes but also generating quality research with intent to preserve the glorious cultural heritage of Assam and the North East India at large. The major aims and objectives of the Centre are promotion of national integrity, solution of ethnic conflicts through cultural exchange and to create an opportunity before the new generation for getting employment in various fields of Performing Arts. Also to provide an opportunity to establish the North-Eastern culture globally through Study, Research and Performance.

Passed H.S. or any other equivalent (10+2) Examination in any stream

Intake Capacity: 20 seat per programme

Selection Procedure: Purely on merit basis (Marks of HS) and counseling (personal interview)

Application for One year Certificate Programmes in-
a) Event Management, b) Theatre Art, c) Vocal Music and d) Sattriya Dance shall be through online mode only. No other means of application shall be accepted.

Online Registration for submission of Application Form will begin from 05/08/2025.
The last date for submission of application is 20/08/2025 (till 11:55 P.M.)

For submission of the Online Application Form, intending candidates are advised to follow the following instructions:

For Online Application, please login to Admission Portal on https://dibru.ac.in or https://erp.dibru.work.

The Candidate needs to register on the portal by clicking the "Register" button and providing his/her name, mobile number and a password. The mobile number will be verified through an OTP. Please remember the password for login.

After successful registration, the candidate needs to login using his/her mobile number and the password.

After login, the candidate needs to click on the "Apply" button corresponding to the link of "One year Certificate Programmes in - a) Event Management, b) Theatre Art, c) Vocal Music and d) Sattriya Dance" which will lead to an application form.
The candidate needs to fill up the application form step by step.

After completion of the filling-up the Form Candidate needs to click the button "Submit and Review". A preview of the filled-up form will be displayed. Candidates are advised to carefully cross-check the information and if anything needs to be corrected at this stage, they can go back and edit.

After ensuring that all the information displayed on the Preview is correct, the candidate needs to click 'Pay now & Submit the application' and pay the application fee of Rs. 950/- only through online mode (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking).

The application form will be considered finally submitted only when the application fee is successfully paid by the candidate and an online receipt is generated confirming the payment.

There will be a button to download your Application Form for future reference.

The Submission of Online Application Forms shall be automatically closed after the last date.

There shall be no alternative procedure for Application for applying to the One year Certificate Programmes in - a) Event Management, b) Theatre Art, c) Vocal Music and d) Sattriya Dance and the University shall not receive the Application except the procedure mentioned at (2) above.

Admission will be strictly as per Government Reservation Rules.

List of selected students will be notified on the University Website.

Copies of requisite documents shown at the time of filling of the application form should be uploaded properly.

Applicants are advised not to give any false information while filling up the form. If it is detected that false information is given by a candidate, his/her admission will be rejected.
Note:

While filling up the online application, candidates are requested to provide their personal number preferably having the facility of WhatsApp which is active, as WhatsApp will be used intensively to communicate with the candidates.
