This is for the information to all concerned that the Spot Counselling and Admission into the B.Tech programme through Lateral Entry will be held as per the following schedule for the branches:

• Biotechnology (Biotech)
• Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
• Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
• Information Technology (IT)

Date of Spot Counselling and admission: 5^th August 2025, Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.

Venue: Seminar Hall, GUIST

Admission fee: Rs. 28,980/- + Counselling fee: Rs. 1000/- (Non-refundable) to be paid at the time of admission

Allotment of seats will be based on a valid JLEE-2025 Rank in their respective branches. During counselling, eligibility and other criteria will be verified. If an applicant is found ineligible or fails to produce the required ORIGINAL documents, their provisional candidature will be cancelled. Admissions will be conducted as per AICTE and Gauhati University (GU) guidelines.

The candidate must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent Resident of Assam, possessing a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued by a competent authority of Assam. The candidate must hold a recognized Diploma of a minimum 3 years duration from any Polytechnic Institution of Assam.

The candidate must have secured a minimum of 45% marks (or 40% in case of reserved category candidates) in the Diploma course. Candidates who are appearing in their final semester examination may also apply. However, they must produce their Original Grade Report/Mark Sheet of the Diploma Programme on the day of admission.

Candidates are advised to ensure full compliance with the above requirements to avoid cancellation of their admission.
