Admission to the Under- Graduate Degree Courses (8-Semester regular mode) in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy under Sports Quota will be offered in the following 15 Courses under Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET), Jadavpur University for the session 2025-26 for the candidates ranked through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2025 (WBJEE 2025).

The Courses:

Properly filled in offline Application Form available from 11/11/2025 to 20/11/2025 in the University website https://jadavpuruniversity.in has to be submitted off-line positively within 20.11.2025 (05:00 P.M.) along with all requisite certificates including sports participation certificates at the office of the Dean & Secretary, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, 3rd Floor of the TEQIP Building, Jadavpur University, Kolkata 700032.

Candidates must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in Science Stream of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board.

Individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Candidates must have obtained individual pass mark (both in theory & practical wherever applicable) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects at Higher Secondary or Equivalent examination with Minimum of 45% marks in above subjects taken together and having 45% marks in Mathematics as well as pass marks in English with a minimum mark 30% (for all category of candidates) in the said qualifying examination.

The candidates must qualify in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE-2025) conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board and must hold General Merit Rank (GMR) within 40,000.

The candidates must be domicile of Home State i.e., West Bengal for admission in Jadavpur University. The candidate shall have to furnish valid Domicile Certificate in the PROFORMA (a1, a2 or b) given by the WBJEEB (page no. 27, 28 and 29 respectively of WBJEE information brochure 2025) in his/her name issued by the competent authority (as mentioned in the WBJEE Information Brochure 2025) and satisfying the criteria as mentioned in the relevant section(s) of the WBJEEB Information Brochure 2025.

The applicants in the Sports category shall have to furnish original and attested copies of the certificate/s issued by the following Authorities in support of their participation in the relevant tournaments.

Selection Criteria including Sports Qualification Proforma and Procedure of Selecting Students for Admission to Various University Courses at UG Level under Sports Quota for the Session 2025-26:
Criteria for UG Level

• Candidate should have represented a state or its equivalent in any National Championship (Junior / Youth / Senior / Federation Cup / National Games) or higher conducted under the aegis of respective Federation / Association recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports / Indian Olympic Association.
  OR
• Candidate should have represented a state in National School Competition conducted by School Games Federation of India (SGFI).
  OR
• Candidate must qualify by securing a position 1st/2nd/3rd in an individual event/sports or by being a member of the Champion / Runners up team in a team event/sports/games at Inter-Dist / State Championship (open) or higher, provided the event is conducted under the aegis of respective Federation/ Association recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports / Indian Olympic Association in the sports and games offered by the A.I.U.
• Sport-Specific Criteria:
  *For Chess, applicant having the FIDE rating (standard) 1900 and above for Boys and FIDE rating (standard) 1450 and above for girls are eligible to apply for admission under the sports quota.
  
  *For Tennis, applicant having the current AITA ranking upto 300 for under 18 years boys/girls or ranking upto 500 for open (Men/Women) category are eligible to apply for admission under the sports quota. The FIDE rating/ AITA ranking for chess & tennis respectively is applicable either on the day / week of publication of advertisement or any update from 01.01.2025 for admission under sports quota.
  
  *For Table Tennis & Badminton, applicant having the current Annual All India ranking upto 96th Position (Singles) & 24th Position (Doubles) for Senior category or ranking upto 48th Position (Singles) for Junior (Men/Women) category is eligible to apply for admission under the sports quota. The Annual All India ranking for Table Tennis & Badminton respectively is applicable either on the day / week of publication of advertisement or any update from 01.01.2025 for admission under sports quota.
  
  *For Cricket & Football, applicant must have represented any 1st Division Club or above with participation of 30% matches or represented any 2nd Division Club or above with participation of 60% matches either in the current year or any one of the two preceding years organized by either CAB / IFA or any State Association.
  OR
  Applicant may be eligible for all above sports events if having the criteria as specified in a) / b) / c) for UG Level.
  
  **The percentage of marks / JEE rank as fixed by the concerned faculty at qualifying examination is eligible to apply for admission under the sports quota in the UG-1 course including B.Ed, B.P.Ed, B.Lib course of the university.

Note:

• Such sports representations at UG courses are to be made within the current year or any one of the two preceding calendar years (i,e commencing from 1st January, 2023) only.
• The application form for admission under sports quota is to be submitted along with attested photo copies of relevant sports certificates issued by the competent authority of the sports bodies including the sports qualifications in the prescribed proforma as given in Annexure-A and Annexure-B for Cricket & Annexure-C for Football (for representing 1st/2nd Division Club) duly filled in with official authentication & signed by the respective issuing authority.
• 2% of the total intake capacity of the concerned faculty separately at UG-1 level will be the maximum intake of the admission of students under sports quota.
• All the submitted documents related to sports of the aspiring candidates for admission under sports quota are to be placed at the Sports Board meeting to recommend the name/s of the eligible candidate/s to the concerned secretary of the faculty for admission.

The admission process involves following stages, from application to admission, as described hereunder strictly adhering to the timeline as notified.

Step 1: Payment of the Application Fee of Rs. 500/- through SBI Collect System under the category "Application Fee for UG - Engg. Sports Quota 2025". The Link for payment: https://onlinesbi.sbi.bank.in/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm?corpID=643164 will be available from 10/11/2025 (08:00 P.M.) to 20/11/2025 (04:00 P.M.). Candidates have to provide relevant personal and academic details in order to complete the payment. Having the confirmed Payment Acknowledgement Receipt from SBI Collect system is mandatory.

Step 2: Manually filling up of Application Form after downloading from the JU Website / FET Admission Portal and submission to the Office of the FET on or before the last date of application.

Step 3: Publication of List of eligible candidates satisfying all eligibility criteria for Physical Document Verification and Provisional Admission on due date as notified.

Step 4: Reporting for original document verification and provisional admission in person at scheduled date and time with application fee payment acknowledgement receipt and self-attested copies of relevant testimonials as enclosures. Not completing the verification process will automatically cancel the candidature without further communication.

Step 5: Final Admission, if selected, including verification and payment of Admission Fees in person at the Jadavpur University Main Campus at scheduled date and time.

Note:
Failing to comply with the published time schedule at any stage will summarily cancel the application/eligibility/selection/admission without any further intimation.

No Individual Communication will be made at any stage. The candidates MUST keep themselves updated through notifications published from time to time on the Admission Portal.

The candidates will have to produce Original and attested copies of the following documents given below at the time of provisional admission:

• Print out of the Acknowledgement Receipt from SBI Collect system as proof of the Application fee payment.
• Rank Card of WBJEE 2025.
• Copy of Admit Card of WBJEE 2025 OR Confirmation page given by WBJEEB.
• Admit Card / Certificate of Class-X / Birth Certificate for verification of Date of Birth.
• Mark sheet of Class-X Examination.
• Mark-sheet of Class-XII Examination.
• Pass Certificate of Class-XII Examination.
• Domicile Certificate in WBJEE 2025 prescribed format. (Domicile certificate as per WBJEE 2025 Information Bulletin)
• SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD Certificate in the name of the student issued by the competent authority of Govt. of West Bengal, if applicable.
• Family Income Certificate of Parent/Guardian from the competent authority.
• 5 (five) copies of recent passport size photographs.
• All Sports Participation Certificates from the competent authorities.
• Medical Certificate - General Health and Eye from the competent authority.

Candidates for all UG Engg./Tech./Pharm. courses (except Information Technology) will have to deposit Rs. 5,210/- for Tuition Fees and other charges for the session 2025-26 & 2026-27 (for two years only) at the time off final admission except for the Information Technology Course.

Candidates for Information Technology course will have to deposit Rs. 30,360/- (for the session 2025-26) for Tuition Fee and other charges for the session 2025-26 (one year only) at the time of final admission.
