PG Notice for GU and OU Categories 2025

This is for information of all students whose names are included in the Provisional Merit/Rank Lists (Traditional Programmes) for PG Admissions, published by Gauhati University that names of those Gauhati University students which have appeared in the OU need not worry. Because, special arrangement is made to segregate the students to GU and OU categories on the day of Admission.

1. In the cover page of each published Notification of provisional Merit/Rank Lists, the concerned Heads of the Departments was informed categorically that-

... the HoD is authorized to change the Gauhati University and Other University Category after verifying the correct affiliating University as some students might have put the wrong information at the time of submitting the online application form.

All Heads of Departments of Traditional Programmes are requested to make necessary arrangements for the purpose.

So, all are advised not to worry but to arrive on the reporting time on the day of admission. They need not visit the University for this before the day of admission. Please note, this does not apply to students belonging to other Universities.
