The CUET-UG 2025 examination has been postponed, sparking anxiety among lakhs of students and parents awaiting clarity on the revised schedule. The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the exam, is yet to release an official timetable. However, sources indicate that the exam will now commence on May 13, with an announcement expected shortly.
The NTA, which oversees the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admissions on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC), reportedly informed the UGC of its inability to conduct the exams as originally planned. The delay is primarily due to the strain of organizing the NEET-UG 2025, held last Sunday.
A meeting between the NTA and UGC is scheduled for today to finalize the new exam dates. Once concluded, the updated timetable will be released. Meanwhile, students across the country await the issuance of city slips, which detail their exam centres and schedules.
