The admission process of M.A. in Bengali (Self-Financing, CBCS course) under the Department of Bengali of our college affiliated to West Bengal State University, for the academic session 2025-27 is going to start from 20/08/2025.

Students from the first merit list can take admission online from	29/08/2025 to 04/09/2025

Instructions for the Applicants

All the applicants should fill in the form with the correct information. Any mismatch in documents at the time of verification, will CANCEL the application form.
Admission process will be guided by the norms of the West Bengal State University.
Only the Students of Bengali Honours, from any recognized university are eligible to apply in the course.
Students who have passed their B.A. in Bengali Honours, before 2023 are not eligible to apply in the course.
Online form in the college website (www.basirhatcollegepgonline.org) is available from 20th August, 2025 to 27th August 2025.
First merit list will be published on college website (www.basirhatcollegepgonline.org) on 29th August, 2025. Information regarding next merit list will be available at www.basirhatcollegepgonline.org.
Students from the 1st Merit List can take admission from 29th August, 2025 to 4th Sepetember 2025.
Fees Structure for PG Bengali:
1st Sem: Rs. 5,000/-, 2nd Sem: Rs. 5,000/-, 3rd Sem: Rs. 5,000/-, 4th Sem: Rs. 5,000/-
Total no. of seats in Bengali PG: 35 (Reservation of seats as per Govt. Rules)
