RKMRC: Postgraduate (PG) Admission 2025

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

• Students who passed Under Graduate Examinations before 2024 cannot apply.

  b) For any clarifications regarding the procedure for filling out the application forms, applicants may contact the admissions office via email at admission@rkmrc.in. Alternatively, they may attempt to reach 8981395656 between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on working days. Kindly note that this mobile number will not be available after the publication of the merit lists.

• Applicants seeking admission to the Post-graduate programme in the listed subjects (except Data Science & AI) are required to have completed their undergraduate studies with 3 year/4 year Honours in the respective subjects.
• Applicants aspiring to enroll in the Master of Science (M.Sc.) programme in Data Science & AI must have successfully completed a degree in one of the following disciplines: B.Sc. (Honours) in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, or Electronics; or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), or Master of Computer Applications (MCA). These qualifications should be obtained from a recognized university or institution.
• Applicants seeking admission in Chemistry, Computer Science, and Physics programme are required to have Mathematics as one of the Generic Elective (GE)/Minor Courses in their Undergraduate studies.

**** The percentage will be calculated as per the respective university norms.

NOTE:

• The candidates whose final results have not been published yet, may apply online on the basis of their Honours aggregate at the end of 2nd Year / 5th Semester for 3-Year Degree Programme and 3rd Year/8th Semester for 4- Year Degree Programme whichever is the latest.
• They should not have any arrear that is yet to be cleared.
• Final admission shall be granted subject to the submission of the final marksheet at the time of admission or, in the case of pending results, within one month thereafter, provided the candidate fulfils the prescribed eligibility criteria. Non-compliance within the stipulated period shall result in the cancellation of admission.
• 5% relaxation in aggregate & subject (where applicable) for SC/ST candidates.

• Date : 6 June 2025 (5.00 pm) to 22 July 2025 (5.00 pm)
  Note: All the formalities including online payment to be completed within this period.
• Applicant should carefully keep with him the Admit Card generated through the college admission web portal. This may be required at different stages of the admission process and even during the actual time of arrival at the hostel
• Recent passport size photograph & Signature (JPG format, file size < 100 kb).
• No Candidate will be allowed to take the admission test/viva without production of the Admit Card.

Full Marks of the written test: Chemistry, Physics, English (50 marks, 2 Hours)

Full Marks of the Viva-Voce: Computer Science, Data Science & AI, English, Sanskrit (50 marks).

Viva Voce for English: Candidates who successfully clear the written examination shall be shortlisted for the viva voce. Qualification in both the written examination and the viva voce, assessed independently, is mandatory for consideration in the final selection. The final merit list shall be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained across both components.

List for provisional selection will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the Admission Test/viva voce.

If there is a tie among the final short-listed candidates, the tie-breaking will be done based on the following order:

a) 1st Key: Percentage of the Aggregate Marks obtained in UG Honours/B.E./B.Tech./BCA/MCA programme.

b) 2nd Key: A suitable criterion will be decided by the college authority based on the PG Programme in question. The criterion will be announced at the Page 5 of 4 time of announcement of result if the use of second tie-breaking situation arises.

Admission and semester Charges for M.Sc. Data Science and AI Programme:

The Data Science & AI programme is offered as a self-financed course. Classes for this programme are scheduled to be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Please note that if any candidate fails to fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned in our admission notice his candidature will automatically stand cancelled as soon as it is detected at any stage of the admission process or any time in future.
