  • A Candidate can apply for as many subjects as he chooses. Students who passed H.S./equivalent Examinations before 2024 cannot apply.
    Cost of Application Form for each subject: Rs 500/- only, to be paid online
    • For filling up of online application form, please visit www.rkmrc.in and click on to the ‘Admission 2025’ tab. The form will also be available at : https://rkmrc.org/iemEn/rkmrc_online_form_503.jsp
    • For any clarifications regarding the procedure for filling out the application forms, applicants may contact the admissions office via email at admission@rkmrc.in. Alternatively, they may attempt to reach 8981395656 between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on working days. Kindly note that this mobile number will not be available after the publication of the merit lists.
  • Please note that the selection of candidates across the different subjects will be determined exclusively by their performance in the written examination, with the exception of Mathematics and Sanskrit (refer to Table 12 for details).

    Note: (a) Aggregate marks shall be computed by adding the marks of the top-five subjects (in case of West Bengal Council) and the top-four subjects (in case of other boards including CBSE and ISC) in order of the marks secured by a candidate.

    (b) Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. However, if the subject “Environmental Science” is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.

    (c) There will be a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate & subject score (wherever applicable) for SC/ST candidates.

  • Issue & Submission of Application Forms (Online only):
    • Date: 7 May 2025 (10.00 p.m.) to 8 June 2025 (10.00 p.m.)
      Note: All the formalities including online payment to be completed within this period.
    • Applicant should carefully keep with him the Admit Card generated through the college admission web portal. This may be required at different stages of the admission process and even during the actual time of arrival at the hostel if selected /admitted.
    • Applicants are required to upload a recent passport size photograph & signature (JPG format, file size < 100 kb).
    • No Candidate will be allowed to take the admission test without production of the Admit Card.
  • Reservation Policy:

    Reservation Policy for admission in the degree courses of studies shall be guided by the West Bengal State Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission), Act, 2013 and the West Bengal State Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2014.

    • While completing the online application form, candidates must select a specific examination centre at which they intend to appear for the test. It is mandatory for candidates to report to their chosen centre on the day of the examination.
    • As the entrance examinations for certain subjects are scheduled to be held concurrently, applicants who have opted for such subject combinations are required to report to the Principal or the designated authority in charge of the Examination Centre at least thirty minutes prior to the commencement of the examinations. An alternative schedule will be arranged for their second subject.

    • Full Marks and duration of tests:
      All subjects have Full marks: 50
      Duration of test: 2 hours
    • Use of Calculator:
      Scientific calculator can be used for the entrance test in Physics and Chemistry, however, for other subjects use of calculator is not permitted during the exam.
  • Provisional Merit List:

    List for provisional selection will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the Admission Test/Viva (except for Mathematics) of their respective subjects only.

    Mathematics Marks obtained in the Admission Test out of 50 will be converted to marks out of 200 + Marks obtained in HS Mathematics (100) + Marks obtained in HS English (100) = Total 400

    If there is a tie among the final short-listed candidates, the tie-breaking will be done based on the following order:

    • 1st Key:
      • Percentage of the Aggregate Marks obtained in H.S. (10+2) Examination
      • Aggregate percentage will be computed as explained in Note (a) under point no. 3 mentioned above.
    • 2nd Key: A suitable criterion will be decided by the college authority based on the department in question. The criterion will be announced at the time of announcement of result if the use of second tie-breaking situation arises.
  • Please note that the college is a fully residential one. All students should reside compulsorily on campus. Day-scholars are not allowed.
  • Scholarships are granted to a restricted number of meritorious but financially weak students.
  • Important Note:
    Please note that if any candidate fails to fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned in our admission notice his candidature will automatically stand cancelled as soon as it is detected at any stage of the admission process or even after admission.
