- Applications for admission to First Year B.A. / B.Sc. (Honours) courses for the Academic Session 2014-2015 will be received only online between 4th June 2014 (10:00 A.M.) and 14th June 2014 (8:00 P.M.) through the following websites : -

Admission to the college is granted on the understanding that the student undertakes to conform in all respects to the rules and discipline of the college.
- A candidate may apply for a maximum of three honours subjects. Separate applications must be submitted for each honours subject.
- The college does not offer any three years General Course.
- SC / ST / OBC-A (non-creamy layer) / OBC-B (non-creamy layer) candidates from West Bengal are only eligible for reserved seats.
- Admission to any course of the college is provisional, subject to the final approval of the University of Calcutta.
- In exercise of the power conferred by clause (g) of sub-section (1) of section 26 of the University Grant Commission Act, 1956, “UGC Registration on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Education Institutions, 2009”, an anti-ragging cell shall be constituted.
- There is no hostel facility in the college.
- Admission will be made strictly in order of merit.

Criteria for Admission to B.A./ B.Sc. Honours Courses | ∧ TOP |
- A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary or its equivalent Examination (on 2014 or, 2013) may apply for admission to the B.A. / B.Sc. (Honours) courses.
- Candidates must have passed in English (at least 100 marks paper) in the previous qualifying examination.
- Candidates must secure pass marks in the General Subjects opted for (applicable to candidates who had the subjects at (10+2) level).
- Aggregate means total marks of the BEST FOUR subjects (at least 100 marks paper). Marks in compulsory Environmental Education / Studies shall not be included in Aggregate marks.
- Admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit. Merit list will be prepared based on INDEX MARK for all categories of students.
- An ADMISSION TEST will be held for candidates applying for ENGLISH Honours course.
A candidate should secure at least 50% marks in English (at least 100 marks paper)
to apply for B.A/ B.Sc Course.
