SSC Initiates Application Process for 2024 CHSL Exam

Commencement of SSC CHSL 2024 Application Process

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued the notification and initiated the application process for the SSC CHSL 2024 (Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination). Those interested can view the SSC CHSL tier 1 notification and apply through the official website of the commission, ssc.gov.in. This year, approximately 3,712 vacancies are open for filling through the examination. The deadline for application submission is May 7th.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the role of Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade 'A' in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, as well as the Ministry of Culture, applicants must have successfully completed their Class 12 education in the Science stream, with Mathematics being one of the subjects, from a recognized board or its equivalent.

For positions of DEO/DEO Grade 'A' in other departments or ministries, and for all roles of Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), candidates must have completed their Class 12 education from a recognized board or university.

Applicants who have taken their Class 12 or equivalent examination are eligible to apply, given they fulfill the necessary qualifications by the cutoff date of August 1, 2024.

How to Apply 2024:
  • Visit the official website of SSC.
  • Log in to the online system using your "Registration Number" and password.
  • Navigate to the "Latest Notifications" tab within the "Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2024" section and click on the "Apply" link.
  • Certain columns (1 to 18) will be pre-filled with information from your One-time Registration Data, which cannot be modified.
  • Complete the online form by providing your academic and personal details as required.
  • Upload a clear photograph of yourself without glasses or a cap. Ensure that the photograph is not blurry to avoid rejection.
  • Review all the entered details carefully in the preview before final submission. Agree to the declaration by selecting the "I agree" box.
  • Proceed to submit your application once you have verified that all the information is correct.
  • Pay the application fee online using BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay), unless exempted based on your caste-category.
  • Upon successful submission, your application will be provisionally accepted. Remember to print a copy of the application form for submission to the Commission after the Computer-Based Examination and for your records.
Application Fee
The application fee amounts to Rs 100. Nonetheless, women candidates and individuals eligible for reservation under Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) categories are exempt from paying the fee.
