Required percentage of marks and subject qualification for filling up Preliminary Application Form for Honours Course :

• A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
• 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
• Candidates belonging to the SC/ST community and willing to take up Honours, must have a minimum of 40% marks both in aggregate and in the subject or related subject in H.S. or equivalent examination ( as per C.U. rules ).
• Candidates, who passed ( 10+ 2 ) Examinations or equivalent in 2012 and onwards, are eligible to seek admission to First Year B. Com. Course provided he has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
• Aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in Top Four Subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account. Candidates are being warned not to enter this subject in the subject/marks screen, otherwise the application would be cancelled.

For General Course :
Candidates, who passed (10 + 2) Examination or equivalent examination in2012 and onwards, are eligible to fill up the Preliminary Forms provided he has passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
Candidates from vocational Stream and Open School are only eligible for admission in general Course

Filled in Preliminary Application Forms should be submitted within 17.06.15.
On Line Preliminary Forms will be available from 02.06.2015.
Same procedure will be followed in case of On-Line Preliminary Forms.

Payment : All Application Fees must be paid through the banking system of SBI as directed, after filling up the form completely. For each application, fee is Rs.100.00 plus bank (SBI) charges as applicable.

Compulsory Language Subjects Available : Communicative English (compulsory to all students) and any one of (i) Bengali, (ii) Hindi and (iii) Alternative English. Candidates need to mention the language in the printed Form.

Special Instructions to SC/ST candidates : Candidates seeking admission in the reserved quota in SC/ST category must produce original such “certificate with photograph” issued by competent government authority.
