# A Student can take up Honours in these subjects even if they didn’t have the subjects in (10+2) exam, provided other conditions are satisfied.

** Sociology : Political Science / Psychology.
For the purpose of determining eligibility, aggregate shall be calculated by adding the marks in Top-Four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate in H.S. (10+2) or in an equivalent examination. Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. Candidate should pass in English having full marks not being less than 100.
Elective Subjects
Students should choose two elective subjects from the following combinations, taking not more than one subject from one group :(Each subject comprises 3 papers, 100 marks each.)

Students opting for Honours course in the subjects – English, Sanskrit, Political Science, History, Education, Journalism & Mass Communication, Sociology should not choose simultaneously two science subjects as elective subjects.
A candidate shall not be allowed to take up any subject as Elective if she has failed in the subject in the previous qualifying examination.
College authority will not be responsible, in any way, for wrong combinations chosen by the students.
For Honours in Humanities (B.A. Hons.) Students cannot opt for 2 science elective subjects.
Science Subject :
Economics; Botany; Psychology; Chemistry; Geography; Statistics; Film Studies; Mathematics.
Chemistry is compulsory for Botany Honours.
Mathematics is compulsory for Economics Honours.

** Sociology : Political Science / Psychology.

a) Sanskrit with Botany
b) Philosophy with Botany

Candidates must bring the printout of the Admission Form, submitted Online along with the following documents and the College-copy of the Bank Challan at the time of admission to the college.
Documents required at time of admission
- Original Mark-Sheet (Not Laminated) of Higher Secondary Level (10+2).
- Original Admit Card and Mark Sheet of Madhyamik or Equivalent Examination.
- Original SC / ST / OBC Certificate in the name of the candidate, in case of SC / ST / OBC candidates
- Original Migration Certificate in case of migrating students.
- Attested photocopy of Admit Card of Madhyamik or Equivalent for age verification.
- Attested photocopy (both side) of Mark-Sheet of Higher Secondary level (10+2).
- Attested photocopy of SC / ST / OBC Certificate in case of SC / ST / OBC candidates.
- Attested photocopy of Migration Certificate in case of migrating students.
- One Stamp size Photograph (to be pasted in Application Form).
Candidates from Open School cannot take Admission in Honours Course.
Candidates from Boards other than WBCHSE, CBSE & ISC may contact college office after the publication of results.
Only candidates of 2015, may apply for admission. Candidates of 2014 may apply for admission if they did not take admission anywhere in 2014.
