Admission to Post Graduate (PG) Programme for the academic session 2025-2026
Applications are invited from Indian citizens only for admission to Master’s Degree (2-Year/ 4-Semester) Programme of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV) at Mohanpur Campus for the academic session 2025-26. Interested candidates may apply for admission to the Master's Degree Programme through our Online Admission Portal (www.bckvadmission.in) and for other information visit our university website (www.bckv.edu.in).
Allocation of seats: As per Annexure-I and Annexure-II.
Procedure of filling up of Ph.D. seats:
Out of total seats (Programme-wise):
- 70% seats will be reserved as University seats.
- 30% seats will be reserved as ICAR quota. ICAR’s nominees will be considered as per prevailing rules.
Candidates can apply for admission to Doctoral Degree Programme in the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Horticulture and Faculty of Agricultural Engineering for only one subject/discipline under the respective Faculty as mentioned below.

Agriculture and Horticulture (M.Sc.):
-
Candidates must have passed 4-year Bachelor Degree Examination in Agriculture/Horticulture. General, OBC and EWS candidates must secure Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of at least 6.50 in 10.00 scale whereas for SC/ST/PWD candidates, the said requirement is at least 5.50 in 10.00 scale. In traditional system where grade-points are not awarded, the General and OBC category candidates must have secured at least 60% marks, whereas for SC/ST/PwD categories, the requirement is at least 50% marks.

Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination (10+2) in Science stream or Vocational stream securing at least 50% marks in aggregate for General, OBC and EWS categories, whereas for candidates under SC/ST/PwD categories the said requirement is at least 40% marks.

The qualifying marks of the Entrance Examination is 30% of total marks (i.e. 18 out of 60) for General, OBC, EWS and PwD category, and 25% of total marks (i.e. 15 out of 60) for SC and ST category students.

All the candidates are required to submit self-attested photocopy of all transcripts at the time of Counseling/ admission.

Agricultural Engineering (M.Tech.):

Candidates must have passed 4-year Bachelor Degree Examination in Agricultural Engineering. General, OBC and EWS candidates must secure Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of at least 6.50 in 10.00 scale, whereas for SC/ST/PwD candidates, said requirement is at least 5.50 in 10.00 scale. In traditional system where grade points are not awarded, the General, OBC and EWS category candidates must have secured at least 60% marks, whereas for SC/ST/PwD categories the requirement is at least 50% marks.

Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination (10+2) and securing at least 50% in aggregate for General, OBC and EWS candidates, and 40% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

In respect of candidates who earlier got admitted in B.Tech. (Agril. Engg.) programme through Lateral Entry Scheme, marks obtained by them in Diploma course will be considered in place of H.S. marks. In this case, student under Lateral Entry Scheme, candidate must have passed with 60% marks under General, OBC and EWS category and 55% marks for SC/ST/PwD category
