Status & Admission Procedure :
To be Affiliated to University of Burdwan, Recognised by NCTE, the college is a self- financing co- educational institution for the B.Ed. Training course of one year duration to freshers only. The admission will be made through Central Admission Committee and Counselling System of the University of Burdwan on the basis of marks obtained in different examinations.

Eligibility : Graduate in any discipline.

Age Limit : Upto 35 years.

Course Fee : Rs. 26,500/- (as prescribed by the affiliating University)

Facilities Offered

In the district of Bankura of West Bengal there is only one B.Ed. College situated in the Bishnupur Sub-Division. To cater to the long-standing need of the educated youths of Sonamukhi and adjacent areas of the district and other districts as well to undergo a teacher training course, establishment of a B.Ed. College was keenly felt. To meet this demand, the Athena Educational, Social & Charitable Trust came forward. Prompted by a sense of philanthropic mission to provide quality education for the teachers to be, the Trust set up the Athena B.Ed. College in 2004. This is the first self- financing college importing the B.ED – Training course in the District of Bankura.

The college was thus born of a commitment to fulfil the aspiration of the young hopefuls eager to join the noble profession of teaching.
