Part - I
The schedule of First Year Part I examination shall comprise of two semesters: Semester I and Semester II. At the end of second semester, students will be required to undergo summer training, based on which the student has to submit a report. Part - II
Admission to Part II Second Year of the programme shall be open to only those students who have cleared successfully at least twelve papers out of the sixteen papers offered during First Year of the programme comprising of 1st and 2nd Semesters taken together. However, each student would have to clear the remaining papers while studying in Second Year (Part II).
The schedule of Second Year (Part II) Examination shall comprise of two semesters: Semester 3 and Semester 4. The schedule of papers during Second Year of the programme shall be as follows:
Semester - III
During Semester 3 of Part II of the programme, in addition to the three compulsory papers, a student shall have to choose five elective courses from the list of optional papers announced at the beginning of the Semester 3.

DOCTORAL PROGRAMME
The full time doctoral programme offered at the Faculty of Management Studies provides opportunity to undertake pioneering and original research in different areas and aspects of management with an emphasis on practical implications of research. The programme is designed to augment academic and practical knowledge. The faculty encoursge candidates to undertake research in interdisciplinary areas of management, cutting across functional and sectoral boundaries.
Total number of Intake of Ph.D. students shall be decided depending upon the vacancies available with the faculty members at the time of admission and suitability and research aptitude of the candidates.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Programme
Candidates applying for admission to the MBA programme must have pursued at least a Bachelor's Degree programme after twelve years of formal schooling with at least 50% marks at the graduation level (SC/ST: Passing Marks; OBC/PWD/CW: 45% as per the University rules) or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing for the final year examination of Bachelor's Degree may also apply.
Note:
Candidates appearing for final year examination of Bachelor's Degree are eligible to apply for admission irrespective of their percentage of score obtained till the time of application, provided thet they expect to fulfill the eligibility criteria when their results are declared and which must be submitted to the FMS office at the time of the admission to the programme.
MBA Executive Programme
Candidates applying for admission to the two-year evening MBA Executive programme must have pursued at least a three-year Bachelor's Degree programme after twelve years of formal schooling, having secured minimum 45% aggregate marks or equivalent grades in any of the disciplines such as Arts, Commerce, Social Sciences, Sciences, Mathematics/ Statistics, Medicine, Engineering or Technology. Additionally, she/he should have at least five years of experience as an executive or an administrator in a commercial/ government establishment/ registered organization after passing the Bachelor's degree examination. Experience shall be determined as on the 1st April of the year of admission. Candidates should be either sponsored or produce a "No Objection Certificate" to pursue the programme from his/her present employer.
MBA Executive (Health Care Administration) Programme
Candidate seeking admission to the two-year evening MBA Executive (Health Care Administration) programme must have a Bachelor degree having secured minimum 45% aggregate marks or equivalent grades in any discipline such as Medicine (MBBS)/ Dentistry (BDS)/ Biotechnology/ Genomics/ Genetics/ Nursing/ Bioengineering/ Alternative Systems of Medicine/ Paramedical Discipline/ Pharmacology/ Anthropology/ Zoology or an examination recognized as equivalent. The Bachelor's degree should be of the University of Delhi or any other recognized University/ deemed University/ Institute. Additionally, she/he should have at least five years of experience as an executive or an administrator in a commercial/ Industrial/ government establishment/ registered organization after acquiring the Bachelor degree (excluding internship). Experience shall be determined as on the 1st April of the year of admission. Candidate should be either sponsored or produce a "No Objection Certificate" to pursue the programme from his/her present employer.
Doctoral Programme
To be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme, a candidate must have obtained a Master’s/M.Phil. degree of the University of Delhi, or any other recognized University, or a Post-graduate Degree in an allied subject equivalent thereof. She/he must have obtained either a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in the M.Phil. degree or a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in the Master’s degree.
Candidates having a MBA/Master’s Degree in an allied subject from University of Delhi or equivalent would be required to write the CAT-2015 for admission to the Ph.D. programme. Such applicants should have a minimum experience of two years post their MBA/Master’s Degree on the date of writing the admission test.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree of duration of four years or more, viz. B.Tech. or MBBS who have obtained a minimum of 70% and 60% marks or equivalent grades respectively, and also have obtained any national level fellowships, are also eligible to apply for the Ph.D. programme.
Permanent teachers of any recognized University/College other than the University of Delhi, employees of a Research Institute in India and candidates sponsored by their employers will be considered for admission to the Ph.D. programme only if they obtain study leave for a period of two years to fulfill the residency requirements of the Ph.D. programme of the University of Delhi.

Computer Centre
At the FMS Information Technology Group, the intention to keep our institute at the forefront of technology applications in management education. This implies constantly innovating, evolving as well as adapting to changing realities.
We take a broad approach that not just involves the computer center in the faculty, but the infrastructure backup in the libraries, class rooms, hostels, video-conferencing facilities and the Internet. Faculty, staff and students play crucial roles in identifying needs, embracing new technologies, and using applications in creative ways. We harness the role of technology as a critical enabler in all our operations and hence the team includes representation from the all the student societies, recruitment & media team along with core faculty support. An indication of this is the website which has set up a virtual FMS community to link the FMS diaspora and leverage its enormous strengths.

Library
The Faculty of Management Studies Library, University of Delhi, Delhi is having a very good collection and providing various traditional and internet based library services to its members. The collection is vastly on the subjects’ viz. Management and Economics.The fms library also, provide access to Theses and Dissertations of the faculty.
The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi made a modest beginning with a three year part-time Post graduate management programme in Business Administration for senior and middle level executives in 1954. The first set of professors was trained at the Stanford University Business School and institute was started at the Delhi School of Economics under the leadership of Prof A. Dasgupta. The past decades have witnessed a significant growth in the nature and number of programmes offered at the FMS. FMS has exchange programmes and collaborative arrangements with leading industrial and business houses, management institutions and professional associations in India and abroad. It is the founder member of the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA) and is working towards regional cooperation in management education and development in the spirit of SAARC. FMS is also one of the participating institutions in the India-EEC Exchange and Co-operation Programme for Management Professors.
In appreciation of its contributions, the Industrial Finance Corporation of India and Amway Corporation have created chair professorships in Industrial Management and Entrepreneurial Development respectively. Shanti Prasad Jain Advanced Management Research Center as a research and development wing of FMS has been setup at the University of Delhi, South Campus with assistance from Bennett Coleman & Company Limited.
