MBA (IB) is a six trimester general management programme with a focus on international business.   • Executive Post Graduate Diploma in International Business (EPGDIB)

    EPGDIB is a specialized Programme that provides a scientific approach to business decision-making in today's dynamic and competitive international business environment. EPGDIB provides an opportunity from middle and senior level executives to refresh and upgrade their managerial skills without interrupting their professional activities. The EPGDIB Programme is specially designed to cater to those executives for whom leaving the job and the city is not a feasible option.
  • Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Marketing (EPGDIM)

    EPGDIM aims at enhancing the managerial competence and prepares the participants for Industrial Marketing or marketing of goods and services from one business to another. With an increasingly challenging business environment, organizations are under pressure to perform. The sales and marketing function is probably the most affected under the current economic scenario.     In order to upgrade the knowledge of working executives of export enterprises, service agencies and institutions like banks, insurance, chambers of commerce and enhance their operational competence, the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, has been offering a 4-month Certificate Programme in Export Management since 1977-78. A thorough knowledge of the various facets of international business is important in the present global economic and trading environment. Intense competition in world markets, in particular, poses a challenge to executives engaged in export marketing pursuits. Unless they keep themselves abreast with the new developments, rapid changes in international business practices and innovative marketing strategies pursued by the competitors, export executives cannot effectively capitalize on the available or emerging market opportunities.

  • Certificate Programme in Global Trade Logistics & Operations (CPGTLO)

    The primary objective of the course is to develop among participants a closer appreciation of the critical role which business logistics management plays in today’s fiercely competitive global environment. It is widely recognized that through efficient logistics management, corporates are able to leverage their competitive strategies thereby creating value for their customers. The role of logistics has obviously gained pre-eminence in today’s global business. The course is, therefore, designed to lay emphasis on how effective and efficient logistics management in international trade with special reference to the Indian perspective can create time and place value at micro and macro levels.
  • Doctoral Programme

    The Ph.D. Programme of the institute covers Doctoral research in a variety of business related areas leading to the award of Ph.D degree. The programme is targeted at research scholars, members of teaching faculty in universities and institutes of higher learning, professionals from private, public and government sectors. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    • Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline.
    • Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by beginning of October of the year of start of the course.

    Admission is open to working executives and self-employed individuals fulfilling the following criteria:

    • Post Graduate Degree/Engineering Degree OR equivalent from any recognized University or Institution and managerial work experience of not less than THREE years.

    • Graduation or equivalent degree form any recognized University or Institution and managerial work experience of not less than FIVE years.
      • Only the work experience after eligibility qualifications as on 31st July of the year when the programme is advertised is considered
      • Company sponsorship or No Objection Certificate from the employer is required.
      • No Age limit.

Library

Library Facilities

One of the largest of its kind in the developing world, with a holding of around 84,000 volumes and subscriptions to 800 journals with complete online cataloguing, the IIFT Library is a veritable storehouse of information. Besides being an invaluable place of reference for industry, research scholars and students alike, the Library has an unique collection of publications of FAO, IMF, OECD, UNCTAD, UNCTC, World Bank, and other international agencies. The students have access to database such as the NIC, CMIE, India Trades, World Bank Indicators and other audio-visual aids on management. IIFT has set up the WTO Resource Centre in the Library to focus exclusively on WTO issues. The Centre is the only one of its kind in India, which enhances the utility of the IIFT Library even further. Besides the main Library, there is a Library-cum-Reading Room open round-the-clock, situated in the hostel.


Hostel

Hostel Facilities

C9 Hostel
Hostel life is the most important part of one's journey at IIFT. With over 60 students staying at our newly developed hostel at C9, the atmosphere of learning and having fun while staying at IIFT is unmatched. There is a separate mess facility at C9, and seating space for all students.

There is also a common room facility for students where they can sit for discussions and projects. It is also a great space for students to relax and rejuvenate owing to the television facility and table tennis facility. Hardly a five minute walk from the campus, it is well guarded and located in the plush green surrounding of Qutab Institutional Area

New Hostel
New Hostel (NH) is for the senior batch of students pursuing MBA (IB) from IIFT. It has 6 floors and all the rooms are on double-occupancy basis. Top two floors are guest rooms. NH hostel is connected with the help of passage to the academic block of IIFT .

It has a common room with a television and table-tennis table. It has an air-conditioned mess with sitting facility for all students staying. NH has Nescafe for refreshment adjoining to the hostel.

Old Hostel
Old Hostel (OH), located within the IIFT campus, has eight floors (including a basement) and is home to both the first and second year students of the residential International Business program.

Some rooms of the hostel face the landmark Qutab Minar while some face the lush green Sanjay Van, providing the perfect setting for students to enjoy a fresh environ.

The hostel has a mess which is capable of seating approximately 100 students at a time. The hostel also has a common computer facility which can be used by the students to take print-outs without visiting the market. Closely situated is the dry facility to cater to students' needs.


Infrastructure

Computer Centre @ IIFT

Recognising the importance of technology in education, IIFT’s Computer Centre has implemented latest state of the art IT infrastructure. IIFT uses IT to provide a competitive advantage in its core areas of education and research. The Computer Centre aims at providing 99 per cent uptime including ensuring server uptime, data recovery and backup, facilitating storage management, hardware, network operations, streamlining operations and simplifying end-user support. All IT infrastructure in the campus is provided power through centralized UPS. Failover has been taken care at all possible level.

Computer Centre also provides services like desktop services, operation of the client/server architecture, and management of Web applications, etc. The campus is equipped with all the latest facilities such as:
