Master of Business Administration (Financial Markets)

USMS launched MBA Financial Markets Programme in collaboration with NSE in the year 2011. This programme offers regular MBA degree along with the NSE's Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM). This Two Year Full-Time MBA Programme with Financial Markets specialisation has been introduced for the first time in India. It aims at catering to the needs of the fast-growing financial world with a keen focus on financial markets. The students of MBA (FM) programme gain an edge over their counterparts by staying abreast of latest financial market developments and gain hands on experience by practical exposure in the simulation labs by working with NLT (NSE's learn-to-trade) software.

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)

MBA (Dual Degree) Programme: The school has innovated a 5 year B.Tech.-MBA (Dual Degree) Programme which awards B.Tech. and MBA degree to the students on successful completion of the course.

Ph.D. Programme & Research Activities

USMS provides facility for pursuing doctoral research leading to the award of Ph.D. degree. USMS aims at developing individuals into distinguished researchers, consultants, managers, and teachers in the field of management. The School has a focus on promoting inter-disciplinary research. The school at present has 88 registered Research Scholars. Eleven students have been awarded Ph.D. degrees till date.

Certificate Courses

Basic Course in Behaviour Testing and Training (2 Months): The course is aimed at training participants with the Basics of Behavior Testing and proficiency in administering well known psychometric tests. The classes are held on Saturdays.

Advanced Course in Behavior Testing (4 Months): The course is aimed at developing expertise with the Advanced Training of Behavior Testing and skills to deal with problem employees. The classes are held on Saturdays

Advanced Computer Lab

University School of Management Studies has state of the art infrastructure for fulfilling the needs of the students to keep par with the best institutions in India . The advanced computer lab providing 1:1 computer to student ratio is well equipped with latest softwares that complement the varying needs of the students as well as the research requirements of the faculty. Apart from SPSS and ERP system implemented by ESS-Makess, it includes a wide variety of softwares including latest web-development tools, database tools (RDBMS/Oracle). School has also subscribed to database softwares like CMIE, PROWESS.

University Information Resource Centre

One of the major strengths of USMS is the University Information Resource Center (UIRC), which actively supports the academic progress of the students and the faculty by providing literature and information in their respective disciplines. UIRC has an extensive collection of latest books, journals, CD-ROM databases etc. UIRC has bout 15000 books and subscribes to about 300 periodicals and journals. The UIRC enables the use of multimedia publications/study material, searching digital databases and for online searching of online databases. The library has also become member of UGC – INFONET through ERNET and provides access to 3500 plus e-journals.

Hostel Facility

The university provides hostel facility for more than 250 students, separately for boys and girls at the campus itself, enabling them to use the infrastructural facilities after normal teaching courses, thus helping them in their overall development. The hostels have wireless connectivity to the web, allowing students to pursue studies round the clock, through the Internet.

Other Facilities

The school class rooms and air conditioned seminar hall are equipped with state of the art infrastructure including LCD Projectors, Overhead Projectors, Audio Visual Systems, Computers and Wireless Hotspots. The school also caters to the all around developments of the students by providing sports and other recreation facilities. The University also has a dispensary, a guesthouse and a girl's common room.

University School of Management Studies (USMS) is an on-campus school of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, established by the government of Delhi in 1998.
