Deben Mahato Teachers' Training Institute, sponsored by Deben Mahato Smriti Raksha Committee , a Registered Society under the Registration of Society act, WB, was established in 2002.With the objective of Spreading job- oriented and need-based education in this part of developing district of Purulia. It is Recognised by NCTE and Approved by the W.B. Board of primary Education, with an intake of 50 student trainees. It is a Co-Educational Institution. Since the year of its establishment in 2012 it has been running quite smoothly and satisfactorily, catering to the needs of the locality. The Institute is housed in a spacious multi storied building which stands on the Amlatora in a natural and ambient setting quite conducive to educational pursuit. Run as per the guidelines, syllabus and curriculum stipulated by the W.B. Board of Primary Education the Institute has all the facilities for curricular and Co-Curricular activities.

Sponsored by the Regd. Society Deben Mahato Smriti Raksha Committee, the Institute is managed by a governing body of 11 members duly formed as per the guidelines of the W.B. Board of Primary Education, with proper representation, including DI of School (Primary Edn.) and Chairman, DPSC, Purulia.

The management hopes to go ahead with its educational Programme and building it into an ideal Institute of education and research in the area.
