Eligibility Criteria

Candidates qualified in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (JEE; Engg.) and 10+2 examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other approved board /university of India with 50% marks and combination of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology, are eligible for applying to this course.

As per norms of the West Bengal Board of Education, candidates are selected on the basis of their rankings in the West Bengal JEE (Engg) for admission in B. Pharm.

Admission of Lateral Entry students

Candidates with a diploma in pharmacy from a recognized AICTE approved polytechnique institute of West Bengal with a minimum of 60% marks and a score in Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (conducted by WBUT) are eligible to apply for admission in the 3rd semester of the graduate programme (total of 8 semesters). Seat reservation for such admissions are limited to only 10% of the total students admitted to this course in the beginning of the programme.

Admission Criteria for Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

Eligibility Criteria

An application for admission to the M. Pharm course requires a minimal qualification of a B. Pharm degree from any recognized University of India with not less than 60% marks in aggregate. Selection of candidature is done on the basis of the scores obtained in an entrance test conducted by Institution, which includes a written examination followed by a viva voice, by a board of institutional experts.

About the programme

Pharmacy being an emerging branch of healthcare is spreading its realms into other modern technology based branches of biology like biotechnology, nanotechnology, computer drug designing and bioinformatics. Our programme offers each student, a firm footing into these modern technology based subjects through thorough class room courses, in-depth practical hands-on in the laboratories along with assignment and guidance for motivated research. The Course in Details is Pharmaceutical Chemistry (10), Pharmaceutics (18), Pharmacology (18), Quality Assurance & Pharma Regulatory Affairs (18).
