The Holy Child B.Ed College is run and managed by SINGATALA SOCIETY FOR EDUCATION, RELIEF & VOCATIONAL EXCELLENCE (SERVE), a Registered Society formed by the Ex-students of St. Xavier's B.Ed college, Sahibganj, in June,1993 under the leadership of Dr. Debashis Sarkar.Besides hailing from the Medical Profession Dr. Debashsis Sarkar had the rare privilege of dual Missionary education from the Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deoghar in his early B.Ed college years and later obtained his Senior Cambridge Certificate from the St. Xavier's School,Sahibganj, a Residential School run by the Jesuit Fathers.

He has travelled widely both in India and abroad across the globe especially to countries like Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, U.S.S.R. and Middle-East in the belief to provide teachers with a broad-based, career-oriented, student-centred education so that they grow as a complete person equipped with the moral fibre and skills to excel in any situation, any where in the world. Also inspired by the Jesuit Education which is world affirming and that assists in the total formation of each individual as a person within the Human Community and is not merely confined to books and academic success, Holy Child B.Ed college was established at Malda.

The B.Ed College Prepares the students for active life commitment and includes dimensions that permeates the entire education.The education is value oriented; encourages a realistic knowledge of the world in which we live. It relies upon a spirit of harmony among teaching staff and administrators that take place within a structure that adopts means and methods to achieve the above objects most effectively.
