International Institute of Management Sciences (IIMS) is the pioneer institute in India in conducting Management Education under Distance Mode (DEM) in the private sector since 1979. The Institute is the first in the country to receive AICTE, Govt. India approval in the year 1991 for offering PGDBA (equivalent to MBA) in DEM. In the year 2000, the PGDBA course was upgraded to the MBA degree by Visva-Bharti Central University. Today, the institute is affiliated to Vidyasagar University for conducting MBA course.
