MES Medical College, Perinthalmanna was established in the year 2003 in a picturesque landscape of more than 60 Acres of land, situated on the side of the link road between Valanchery and Angadippuram in Malappuram District. The College is located at Malaparamba nearly 4 k.m away from Angadippuram Junction. The College, Perinthalmanna is recognised as per the order no. U.12012/118/2002-ME(P-II) dated 18-02-2010 of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India on recommendation of the Medical Council of India and affiliated to The Kerala University of Health Sciences [as per the order no.9/1274/Ac1/1/2011/KUHS dated 05-08-2011].

All the departments in the college and the laboratories are well equipped and self contained with departmental libraries and other facilities. Besides twenty departmental libraries the college has a central library. The Medical college Hospital has 570 beds over and above the I.C.U beds & Casualty beds, and encompasses various specialties & super specialties like Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Urology, Oncology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, and Endocrinology etc.

The college has also three health centres-one at Perinthalmanna and the other at Pattikkad and another one is at the remote rural area of Edathanatukara to provide health care to the people at their door steps. These centres also serve as nodal points for enabling our students to get a first hand information of the ground realities in which the downtrodden society is living and the factors affecting health and disease.
