Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is provided to all the students be graduate students of MBBS stream. The hostels are situated within the hospital and college campus at about 2 minutes walkable distance from college and hospital. There are separate hostels for males and females, accommodating resident doctors also. The accommodation provided in the hostel room is a shared accommodation between 2-3 persons with attached toilet and bath.

The boys hostel can accommodate 324 boys and girls hostel has capacity of 276 girls. There are common facilities like water heater solar/ electric, water filters and coolers, common T.V. room, reading room, recreation room and a fixed land line phone.

Canteen & Mess Facilities

A common mess facility with a dining hall is available to all the students. Some member or other of faculty / administration always dines in the mess and can check the quality and quantity of food being supplied to students. The hostels and the mess are connected to electric generator to facilitate students for studies in case of power failure. A very high standard of hygiene and sanitation is maintained in the hostels and the mess. A high level of reasonable facilities is provided to make the students comfortable so that they can devote full attention to their studies.

We have common mess for students and staff members. It also caters to all the official guests, examiners and delegates of various conferences.
There are two canteens which provide snacks and beverages to students, parents and relatives.

Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College and General hospital is now equipped with 800 teaching beds, 74 ICU beds, 30 Casualty beds (including 5 OBGY Casualty beds). Named after the reverent mother of our founder president Prof. M. N. Navale, the hospital was started in the year 2006 with initial 300 beds and an outpatient department. In the last 8 years the bed strength has increased to almost three times the initial strength.

The Medical College which simultaneously started in September 2007, with an intake of 100 students for MBBS course, is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik and has sanction from Medical Council of India, New Delhi. The first batch admitted in September 2007 had started their internship from Feb. 2012 which is now completed and the third batch of 99 students admitted in 2009, had appeared for their final MBBS exams. 75 students cleared the exam and started their internship from February 2014.

Our MBBS degree is duly recognized by Medical Council of India and also by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi. Post graduate courses in the subjects of Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic, Gynaecology, Anaesthesia, Radiology, dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine and Pediatrics are carried out in the institute.

This year we added a new hospital building. The departments, wards and OPDs of Medicine, Paediatric, Surgery and Orthopaedics are shifted to this building. An AC Lecture hall having seating capacity of 200 is situated at the 7th floor of this building. We are maintaining much higher bed strength than required in the hospital to fulfil the social requirement as the average daily OPD of our hospital during the year 2014 is 1803. We are still continuing to providing all the facilities of hospital in addition to two square meals to indoor patients totally free of cost to the patients.
