The University provides the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) course with the aim to impart quality teacher education for the pre-service teachers of secondary and higher secondary levels.

Under the broad domain of the applied discipline of Education, the B. Ed curriculum has been framed on the basis on the recommendations of the reports of UGC Curriculum Review Committee (2002), West Bengal Higher Education Council (2002), NCTE (2000 and 2001) and the statutory bodies of the University of Kalyani.

The course offered in this college is the degree in "Bachelor of Education" under the Kalyani University.

Eligibility Criteria For Admission to B.Ed. Courses

A fresher candidate should have passed the Bachelor's Degree/Master Degree of the University of Kalyani or of any other recognized by this University, with minimum 40% marks or equivalent grade and should have offered at least one school subject of secondary or higher secondary level at the first and / or second degree level (s) of study.

Relaxation of 5 % marks will be given to the candidates belonging to S.C and S.T and other candidates of notified categories as per Government Rules.

Admission to eligible candidates will be held according to merit and as per the selection procedure and regulations laid down by the University of Kalyani, NCTE and the Government of West Bengal from time to time.

Facilities Offered

The College is established and organized in a beautiful natural surrounding free of pollution in rural areas with proper infrastructure, befitting for a College of Physical Education.

It includes Building with Spacious Class rooms with Corridor; well-equipped Library, Modern gymnasium and a big play ground with different game facilities.

The College is fully residential as such; a hostel with modern amenities is also properly planned. It has rooms with Furniture, Dining Hall, Modern Kitchen and rooms for recreation and assembly.

The Prabharani Educational & Charitable Social Trust has engaged in the district of Murshidabad in organizing Educational Institutions specially to acquire technological and professional degrees.

It has given emphasis in Teachers' Training College and has established B. Ed College, along with other educational and professional Institutions.

Keeping in mind the need of Teachers in Education as per present NCERT syllabus, Sri Subrata Kr. Samajdar, advocate, the enthoustiecs secretary of the trust decided to open a Education College with the mains stream of Prabharani Institute Of Education (B.Ed College).
