Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology (Degree Engineering Division) is one of the 16 Engineering Colleges under Techno India Group, the largest educational organization in eastern India. SMIT (Degree Division) was established in the year 2003 with a view to imparting quality technical education in its region. With its decade long endeavour in imparting quality technical education in Engineering and Technology the college has earned a good repute in its domain.
Situated in Guptipara (35 Km. from Bandel), a quiet serene township, that hosts a cultural background of almost 150 years, the college buildings stands tall within a covered area of more than 10 acres.
