Admission Modalities

The Academic sub committee formulates rules for admission following the guidelines of Calcutta University as well as N.C.T.E.


Intake

There shall be 100 students divided into two sections of 50 students each for generalsession and not more than 25 students per teacher for a schoolsubject for methods courses and other practical activities of the programme to facilitate teaching and learning.


Eligibility:
  • Cndidates with atleast 50% Marks either in Bachelor’s Degree (General orAdvanced level in Hons.) and / or in the Master’s Degree are eligible to apply for admission to the programme. They must have atleast two subjects at the degree level of the following : Beng, Eng, Geo, Hist., Life Science (Zoology / Botany / Physiology) Math, Physical Science (Physics / Chemistry), Arabic.
  • Application forms will not be sent by Post. Candidate will be required to collect Admission Form and Prospectus from college office on payment of Rs. 400/- on all working days between 11 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. on production of makrsheet of degree / PG level.
  • Application forms not duly filled in and not accompained by photo copies of certificate, Marksheets and other relevant papers will not be considered.
  • A merit lists of candidates for admission into B. Ed. course will be displayed on college notice board. No intimation letter will be sent to the individual candidates.
  • Selection of candidates for admission to B. Ed. course will be strictly restricted to candidates who will be able to choose two of the method ‘Subjects’(the subjects must be studied at the degree level) from among those available by the college Authority (As per NCTE and CU Norms).
  • Intake of the students in different subjects will be made on the basis of quota in each subject, to be decided by the selection committee of the college. Approved graduate teachers deputed by the recognized secondary schools of WB are eligible for admission.

Admission Procedure

Admission shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations, aslaid down in the C.U. Provisionally selected candidates will be called for counselling. The selection made by the selection committee will be final.Allselected candidates will have to produce original certificates at the time of counselling. Selection is made on the system prescribed by the C.U.

  • 12 recent passport size photographs.
  • Two attested copies of all documents.
  • Original College leaving certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.

Society For Islamic Education (S53286/86-87), a Non Profit Registered Organization was formed aiming to promote Science and Secular education by establishing Educational Institutions as under Art. 30 of the Constitution of India. Sishu Bikash Academy, the brain child of this society, came into existence in the year 1985 at Nursery level at Chakberia-Mokrampur More, P.O. Kustia, P.S. Sonarpur, Dist. South 24 Parganas. Gradually the school was raised to class X level in the year 1996-1997. The school obtained recognition as a Self-Managed Co-educational High School in the year 2003 from the West Bengal Board Of Secondary Education (S/Recog/45/2003 Code No. C1-426) (Annexure-I) and its Higher Secondary section ( Arts, Science and Commerce) was recognised by West Bengal Council Of Higher Secondary Education in the year 2006 ( Recog. Code No. 02321) (Annexure-II).

It is a residentialschool having well-managed hostel for boys and girls of Primary section, Secondary Section and Higher Secondary Section. The school maintains strict secular fabric by way of admitting students irrespective of caste, creed and religion. The school obtained Minority Status Certificate under Article 30 of the Constitution Of India from the Govt. of India on 21.11.2007.

Sishu Bikash College Of Education a B.Ed. College is our initial step twords higher education. It is situated just by the side of our school premises. The college has got its own building having a good infrastructure and a picturesque garden. The lovely playground is an extra attention. The college is recognised by Eastern Regional Committee - National Council of Teacher Education (AnnexureIII). The college is also affiliated by the University Of Calcutta (Annexure-IV). The college began functioning with effect from the 25th day of August, 2010 which is marked as a Red-letter day in the history of Society For Islamic Education.The college obtained Minority Status Certificate under Article 30 of the constitution of India in the year 2013.
