A candidate taking up Honors must obtain:

  • A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination.
    OR

SC/ST Candidates:

B.Com. (General)

A candidate taking up Major must obtain:

A student shall be allowed to take up B.Com. (General) Course if he/she had passed the subject (s) at the previous qualifying examination as mentioned below:

Criteria for B.Com. (General) course students to continue in the 2nd./3rd. year B.Com. (Honours) Course:

If a student of the General course appearing as a whole and secures 50% or more marks in aggregate (other than Language Group) in the Part – I examination and secures pass marks in each General paper and in Language Group, he/she may be admitted to the Honours Course of Studies in the 2nd. Year.



B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science

A candidate taking up Honors must obtain:

  • A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination.
    OR
    55% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination.
    OR
    50% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied.

SC/ST Candidates:

A minimum 40% marks in aggregate / Subject / Related Subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.
Essential Subject(s) at previous qualifying examinations (+2 level) For Computer Science:

  • Passed Computer Applications(securing at least 45% marks)/Computer Science (securing at least 45% marks)/Physics and Mathematics.



B.Sc. in Computer Application

A candidate taking up Major must obtain:

  • A candidate who secures a minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate at the H.S. (10+2) or in an equivalent examination shall be eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Major) course of studies provided he/she has passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.

SC/ST Candidates:

Candidates belonging to the SC/ST community taking up Major Course of study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examinations, as the case may be.



B.Sc. in Computer Application

A candidate taking up Major must obtain:

  • Passed in H.S. (10+2) or equivalent examination with minimum 55% of marks in aggregate from any stream provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.

SC/ST Candidates:

Candidates belonging to SC/ST community must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any stream.

Aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secure by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Studies/Education shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. The subject “Environmental Science” studied as an elective subject of 100 marks may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.

Course structure and distribution of marks etc. for B.B.A.(Hons.) Course under 1+1+1 system of Examinations.

The medium of instruction for B.B.A.(Hons.) course shall be English and candidate shall have to answer the examination papers in English only.

B.B.A. (Hons.) Course shall be a 3-Year course extending over three academic terms, each term covering one academic year and the examination shall be held in 3 parts, namely, B.B.A. (Hons.) Part-I, Part-II, Part-III.

A candidate shall be eligible to sit for the University examination provided he/she prosecutes a regular course of study in the college and attends at least 75% of Theoretical classes and seminars separately held during the year.

Admission Procedure

A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-Year B. Sc (Hons.) , B.Com. (Hons.), B.Com.(Gen.) and B.B.A. (Hons.) courses of studies provided he / she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.

  • Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Vocational Examination in Business & Commerce conducted by the west Bengal State Council of Vocational Educational and Training shall be eligible to seek admission to the B.Com. (General) 1st. year Course of Studies.
  • However, no candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
  • Application Forms and Prospectus will be available from the RECEPTION COUNTER of the college between 10.30 AM and 3-30 PM on all working days on production of original mark sheet of the last qualifying examination and on payment of Rs.200.00. Xerox copy of application form will not be entertained.

Receipt of admission forms (duly filled in) by the college office does not guarantee admission. All admissions are provisional. Any admission done (inadvertently) contrary to the Rules and Regulations laid down in the prospectus and/or University of Calcutta will be treated as cancelled.

Admission to the college and permission to take up particular combination of subjects are subject to the rules and regulations prescribed by the University of Calcutta and at the discretion of the college authority.



Documents necessary at the time of admission
  • Mark sheet of the last qualifying examination.
  • Admit Card and Mark Sheet of Madhyamik Pariksha and H.S. Examination or equivalent (for proof of age).
  • Three Stamp size colour photographs.
  • Students who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent from the All India Boards / Councils (i.e. C.B.S.E, I.S.C. and National Institute of Open Schooling) need not require to submit the Migration Certificate for getting Registration under Calcutta University.

For students from U.P. Board, Scholar Register cum Transfer Certificate in original and Pass Certificate (10+2) in original are necessary for getting registration under Calcutta University.

Shree Agrasain College is situated at 5/2A, Height Road, Liluah, Howrah – 711204 amidst a green environment. It is adjacent to the Liluah Railway station on the eastern side and five-minutes-walking-distance away from Grand Trunk Road.

Ours is a self-financing, degree college. It has been established to fulfill the need of professional and emerging areas of higher learning for the state of West Bengal in general and Howrah district and adjoining areas in particular.

The college is a unit of Sri Radhe Krishna Charitable Trust. The objective of the college is to promote value based higher education and to inculcate truthfulness, self-reliance and strong characters in the young minds and imbibe in them the virtues of integrity and moral values.
