PG Bengali Admission - Eligibility Criteria 2016-2017

• For General, OBC-A & OBC-B students : 40% in Bengali (Hons)
• For SC & ST category students : Graduate with 40% in Bengali Honours

• Three years Honours graduate of the current and previous 2 years i.e. not before 2014 in the system(10+2+3) from WBSU.
• Honours graduates from recognized universities in West Bengal of the current and previous two years are eligible for admission. For students from other states, the student should have passed equivalent course as at (i) from UGC recognized University/Institute.
• Candidates passing Honours/Major course in Arts in under Graduate Degree level from Indira Gandhi National Open University / Netaji Subhas Open University and the Distance Education Programmes of other Universities in West Bengal are also eligible for admission.
• Selection will be made strictly in order of merit on the basis of percentage of marks for 60% of seats for WBSU students and rest 40% of seats on the basis of subjectwise Entrance Test for Other University students and home university students including back years (Passed in 2014, 2015) students.
