Eligibility Criteria for B.Com. Honours 2016-17
B.Com. Honours |
1. A candidate taking up B.Com. Honours Course in Accounting & Finance or Marketing must obtain: (i) A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 45% in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. OR (ii) 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. |

2. A Candidate shall be allowed to take up B.Com. Hons. Course under heading 'A' if he/she had passed any one of the following subjects under heading 'B', at the previous qualifying examination. | ||

Accountancy, Business Economics including Business Mathematics, Business Organization, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Accounts, Business Studies, Financial Accounting, Office Management and Secretarial Practice, Elements of Cost Accountancy and Auditing, Book Keeping, Business Mathematics, Cost Accountancy and Principles of Management | |
3. However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribe community taking up Honours Course of study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate and 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examinations, as the case may be. Any dispute regarding eligibility criteria would be resolved by the equivalence Committee set up by the West Bengal State University |

Eligibility Criteria for B.A./B.Sc/B.com General
The Candidates passing Higher Secondary or Equivalent Examination either in General stream or in Vocational Stream or passed from Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya or National Open School recognized by the Distant Learning Council are eligible for the admission to General Stream.
A Candidate shall be allowed to take up General Course under heading 'A' if he/she had passed any one of the following subjects under heading 'B', at the previous qualifying examination.
