Admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Course for the session 2013-2014
(For Women Candidates Only)



Selection Procedure

  1. For Deputed Candidates Only:
    • Candidate must have proficiency in Bengali and English.
    • Selection will be done on the basis of seniority.
    • Candidates are to produce original & attested marksheets & certificates to prove candidature during counselling / admission along with -
      1. A No-Objection-Certificate (NOC) from the school authority.
      2. A Managing Committee resolution countersigned by D.I. of Schools.
      3. Approval letter from Govt. authority with date of appointment.
      4. Other Testimonials (Age Proof / Caste Certificate / Baptism Certificate / Physical Disability Certificate / Migration Certificate), as required.

  2. For Non-Deputed Candidates Only:
    • Candidate must have proficiency in Bengali and English.
    • Age limit (as on 01.07.2013)
      - 40 years for General category candidates.
      - 45 years for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Physically Handicapped category candidates.
    • Original & Attested marksheets & certificates to prove candidature must be produced at the time of counselling / admission.
    • Other Testimonials (Age Proof / Caste Certificate / Baptism Certificate / Physical Disability Certificate / Migration Certificate), as required.
    • Academic scores will be prepared using the following C.U. norms -
      NOTE:
      • For Madhyamik / Equivalent (Class X) and H.S. / Equivalent (Class XII) examinations total marks obtained should be taken into consideration for calculating % and NOT best of 5.
      • If you are from Honours background, for calculating % consider the Maximum Marks & Obtained Marks for HONOURS SUBJECT only.

      Grade marks will be awarded to only single stage of Degree level and Doctorate degree level.
      i.e. 1(a) or 1(b) and 3(a) or 3(b).

      In order to convert the marks to credit marks, percentage of marks obtained in any examination be divided by 100 and multiplied by the highest marks allotted in the assessment form e.g. an applicant obtaining 60% marks in Madhyamik Examination be divided by 100 and multiplied by 10 to get credit marks 6.



    • The final selection is merit based and is done on the basis of the candidate's Total Score.

  3. Community Reservations:
    • Being a Christian Minority Institution, the College reserves some 30% for Christian minority applicants. (Among Christian Applicants, preference is given to CNI/CSI/Marthoma candidates).
