Important Guidelines

Downloaded Forms are to be printed in Legal Size paper back to back Separate forms are to be submitted for admission in different courses.

Downloaded forms can be photocopied and used. During submission of downloaded or such photocopied forms the applicant will have to pay a requisite fee of Rs. 50/- as application fee. Also during the submission of such forms the college would provide the applicant with a printed Prospectus and a Money Receipt bearing a particular serial number. The same serial number would be deemed as the Form Number.

A candidate applying for Honours Course in a subject must have obtained:

• A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
  Or
• 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
  Or
• 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in his /her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied
  
  Documents to be submitted along with the application form:
  • Attested photocopy of Admit card of Madhyamik/ Equivalent Examinations for proof of age
  • Attested photocopy of Admit card of H.S/ Equivalent Examinations
  • Attested photocopy of Marksheet of H.S/ Equivalent Examinations
  • Attested photocopy of School Leaving Certificate of the last school attended
  • Two copies of recent Passport size photograph
  • Applicants from reserved category should furnish caste certificate issued by the competent authority

Application form may be received without verification. If any fault is detected at the time of verification the form will be rejected.

Admission in all honours subjects will be made through counseling process. If any candidate fails to attain counseling, his/her right for admission will be forfeited. No subsequent entreaties in this regard would be entertained.

All certificates in original must be produced for verification during counseling.

If in case it is found during counseling that the applicant is already admitted elsewhere and if such candidate wishes to take admission in Jangipur College, he/she must cancel his/her previous admission and submit the relevant papers to Jangipur college within 7 days.

All admissions are provisional. If any anomalies are found on the part of the applicant, the admission is liable to cancellation.

Admission norms framed by K.U. would be strictly followed.

After admission changing of stream/ subject would not be allowed
