CBSE UGC NET 2018 : Image correction window opens

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opens image correction window for the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) examination. All those candidates who have applied for the same can use the image correction facility by login at cbsenet.nic.in.

CBSE will conduct the exam on July 8, 2018 (Sunday). The last date for applying online is April 5, 2018.

Step to Login for Image correction :

  • Log on to the official website, cbsenet.nic.in
  • Click on "Login for Image correction" link
  • Enter Application Number, Password & Security Pin
  • Click to "Login"
  • Make your correction

Important dates :

  • Last date for Applying Online : 05.04.2018
  • Last date of submission of Fee through online generated Bank challan, at any branch of (Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank) or through credit/debit card : 06.04.2018
  • Correction in Particulars of application form on the website : 25.04.2018 to 01.05.2018
  • Date of Examination : 08.07.2018

Aadhaar card or the enrollment numbers are not mandatory :

In another notice, CBSE has clarified that Aadhaar card or the enrollment numbers are not mandatory. Candidates can get registered using their ration card / passport / bank account number or other valid Government ID (such as driving license/ voter ID etc.).

Step to apply for UGC NET 2018 :

  • Log on to the official website, cbsenet.nic.in
  • Click on "Apply For - NET July 2018"
  • Enter all the required details in the prescribed format
  • Click to submit

Eligibility :

Candidates must have acquired at least 55% in master's degree or equivalent examination from a recognised university or institute.

Age limit :

Junior Research Fellowship : The age of the candidate should not be more than 30 years as on July 1, 2018.

Assistant Professor : There is no upper age limit for applying for the post of Assistant Professor.

Exam fee :

For General candidates : Rs 1000
For Other backward classes (Non-creammy layer): Rs 500
For SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates : Rs 250

Exam pattern :

The Test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on 08th July, 2018 (SUNDAY) in two separate sessions as under:
First Session - Paper I - 1 Hour (09:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.) IST (100 Marks)
Second Session - Paper II - 2 Hours (11:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M.) IST (200 Marks)

Paper I shall consist of 50 questions objective type compulsory questions each carrying two marks. The exam will be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying two marks. This exam will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.

All the questions of paper 2 will be mandatory, including entire syllabi of earlier paper 2 and paper 3 (covering all electives, without options).

About the exam :

The exam is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian Universities and Colleges.
