(for Self-Financing Colleges only)

Online application is invited from the eligible interested candidates for admission to B.Ed. Courses in the affiliated self-financed B. Ed. colleges of Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University for the session 2018-2020. The details regarding the admission will be available in university website: www.skbu.ac.in. Application portal is www.skbuonlineadmission.in.

Important Dates:

• On line application: 5.00 p.m. of 10.05.2018 to 4 p.m. of 19.05.2018
• Publication of Provisional Merit List: 21.05.2018
• Dates & Venue of Counselling: will be notified on 21.05.2018

Eligibility:

• Candidate(s) with at least 50% marks, (45% for SC/ST/PWD) in aggregate either in the Bachelor Degree and or in the Master Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities. Bachelor in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks in aggregate or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission. Percentage of Marks for U.G. courses will be calculated excluding compulsory papers.
• Age of Fresher candidate as on 30th June, 2018, would be less than 37 years (relaxation as per Govt. of West Bengal norms).
• 20% seats of the Fresher Candidates will be reserved for the other university candidates. Pass outs from Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University through its U.G./P.G. Courses & not yet migrated from the university will be treated as Home University candidates.
• As per Govt. of West Bengal norms, 20% seats will be reserved for untrained eligible deputed school teachers.

Registration Fee:

• A Registration Fee of Rs. 300/- to be paid online by unreserved candidates, deputed candidates and Rs 150/- to be paid online by SC/ST/PWD candidates through debit card/credit card/net banking. Registration Fee once deposited is non-refundable.

The applicants are advised to regularly visit the university website www.skbu.ac.in. No individual communication will be entertained. Any modification/ addition with the above description, if any will be notified duly on the SKB University website. For unavoidable circumstance, the scheduled published may be changed & it will be duly notified in University website.

• Successful submission of application online does not automatically ensure her/his eligibility for admission into vacant seats of B.Ed. Course for academic session 2018-2020 of this university.
• Online application procedure will start from 5:00 P.M. of 10.5.2018 and will be available till 04:00 P.M. of 19.5.2018.
• Candidate(s) with at least 50% marks, (45% for SC/ST/PWD) in aggregate either in the Bachelor Degree and or in the Master Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities. Bachelor in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks in aggregate or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission. • All the terms and conditions must be read carefully before going to fill up the online form and only when the same is acceptable, complete the process of form filling up.
• First, register yourself with the help of your e-mail Id and Mobile Number. These two are very important, because frequent message etc may be communicated through the same.
• After entering general information and academic qualification, the candidate has to accept the terms and conditions by a ‘click’ at the appropriate space. A unique Id will be generated and the candidate would be forwarded to ‘Payment gateway’. Before payment of Registration Fee, make sure about the correctness of entries, as per your documents and credentials.

• Name appearing at the merit list does not entitle an applicant for admission. It is only subject to availability of seat under specific category.
• Admission would be made after counselling of the short-listed candidates, whose name (by range of sl. no.) in the merit list has been notified on the University website.
• Verification of all original documents will be made during counselling and only after successful document verification; she/he will be recommended for admission by the university admission committee. If any short-listed candidate fails to produce her/his all original documents at the time of counselling, her/his candidature will be automatically cancelled.
• Candidates who are seeking reservation under PWD category, have to appear before the admission committee, on date of counselling with original documents and disability certificate, issued by competent authority as prescribed under rules of the state government, in support of their claim.
• Venue, date, time and serial numbers for counselling would be announced along with merit list. i.e. on 21.05.2018.
• The applicants are advised to regularly visit the university website www.skbu.ac.in. No individual communication will be entertained.
• Candidates pursuing any other Course of Studies in Part-time or Full-time mode or in service or Full-time Research Work or similar engagement will not be allowed to pursue the Course simultaneously.
• Rules of the Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, the Govt. of West Bengal & the NCTE will be followed.
• 20% seats of the Fresher Candidates will be reserved for the other university candidates. Pass outs from Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University through its U.G./P.G. Courses & not yet migrated from the university will be treated as Home University candidates.
• In case of any dispute, the decision of the Admission Committee of the university is final.
• Hostel Facility is available for both Male & Female students in limited colleges.
• Any modification/addition with the above description, if any will be notified duly on the SKB University website.
• For unavoidable circumstance, the scheduled published may be changed & it will be duly notified in University website.

Important:

• Marks obtained in Honours and General papers for UG Studies with Honours or marks obtained in General papers for UG Studies with General will only be considered for calculating percentage of marks in UG level.

Do not include the marks of compulsory papers & environment studies during calculation of marks for UG level.

• Language : Bengali, English, Sanskrit
• Social Science : History, Political Science, Philosophy, Education, Geography
• Physical Science: Physics, Chemistry
• Life Science : Botany, Zoology, Microbiology
• Mathematics : Mathematics, Computer Application/Computer Science (with Mathematics as combination subjects).
