Special Instruction for B.A. (General)

Choose three subjects out of the given combinations in the groups mentioned below:

  • One to be treated as GE (Generic Elective)
  • Two others to be treated as CC (Core Course)
For each of the core subjects student has to study four papers, one each in the 1st four semesters.
For the GE subject chosen student is to study one paper each in Semester –I and II.
In Semester –III and V, student is to study one paper each of English (LCC1) and in Semester –IV and VI student is to study one paper each of Bengali/ Hindi/ Alternative English.
Choose the GE subject i.e., 3rd Elective subject carefully

One subject from each of the 3 groups :

Group 1: History /Philosophy

Group 2: Sociology /Elective Bengali /Elective English /Sanskrit

Group 3: Political Science /Economics

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Course

SUBJECT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
(Aggregate to be calculated by Adding the marks in top four subjects, excluding (compulsory Environmental Education/Studies,Commercial Art,Music,Physical Education.))
BBA (Hons.) 60% Aggregate in any discipline in H.S. or equivalent examination and Passed in English for General Candidates. For Reserved Category Candidates 55% Aggregate in any discipline in H.S. or equivalent examination and Passed in English.

Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Courses (UGC Approved under B.Voc. Programme) :

SUBJECT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Software Development (Dept. of Computer Science) Qualification : Passed WBCHSE 10+2 or Equivalent (General or Vocational Stream) Examination.
Passed with following criteria : Aggregate of Top Four Subjects: 45%  Passed in English (Full Marks 100)  Passed in Mathematics  Passed in Physics/Computer  Science/ Computer Application/ Statistics
Industrial Aquaculture and Fisheries(Dept. of Industrial Fish & Fisheries) Qualification : Passed WBCHSE 10+2 or Equivalent (General or Vocational Stream) Examination.
Passed with following criteria : Aggregate of Top Four Subjects: 45%  Passed in English (Full Marks 100), Passed in Chemistry  Passed in Biology/Biological Science/Biotechnology/Micro-biology/Agriculture/Pisciculture/ Horticulture

Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses (UGC Approved under Community College Scheme) :

SUBJECT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Software Development (Dept. of Computer Science) Qualification : Passed WBCHSE, 10+2 or Equivalent (General or Vocational Stream)
Passed with following criteria :  Aggregate of Top Four Subjects: 40%  Passed in English (Full Marks 100)   Passed in Mathematics  Passed in Physics/Computer Sc/ Computer Application/ Statistics.
