AIEED EXAM - SCREENING FOR DESIGN STUDIES (SDS):
ARCH College of Design & Business conducts AIEED (All India Entrance Examination for Design) for Undergraduate & Postgraduate courses in Design. AIEED was launched & conducted by ARCH College in Year 2010.

In 2011, AIEED was converted to an Online Exam & was made easily accessible for interested students to take from anywhere in the world. It has interactive components at its core and a random selection of questions from specially formulated question banks at its periphery. This interesting online exam is designed to facilitate students, and help assess abilities supporting aspirations for a career in Design.

Intent of Screening for Design Studies (SDS):
This ‘Screening for Design Studies’ and its parts and stages will in actuality enable you to give us A COMPLETE INTRODUCTION TO YOURSELF, and in the process, help us discover the real you - We want to know WHO YOU ARE as against ‘How good your skills are ….’

We are VERY INTERESTED in HOW you THINK. In your Attitude and Approach towards the world that surrounds you. Not so much in your knowledge, but more in your Openness to Learn; your Perseverance, Focus and Toughness to take on challenges in the process of Creative Problem Solving. AND your ability to SURVIVE sanely in a creative environment!

We want potentially introspective and thinking aspirants with the right spirit and attitude to take up Design as a responsible profession.

The Complete Process of Screening for Design Studies is aimed at examining

• ‘ATTITUDE’ as against the existing, overly measured, ‘APTITUDE’. It will evaluate and assess:
  Psychological Consonance and Endowments for Design e.g. Empathy, creativity, toughness, Openness, Perseverance & Focus, Sense of Humour/ appreciation of humour/ connections etc.
• COMPREHENSION & COMMUNICATION SKILL – in the broadest all-encompassing sense – Visual, Verbal, Conceptual, Interpersonal Transactional

Applying to ARCH is a 1-2-3-4 steps experience.

• Step 1. Simply fill the request form and we will contact you.
• Step 2. Fill the online application form, choose your preferable Screening date
• Step 3. Complete your AIEED Screening Process
  Once you complete your process, Admission results will be declared
• Step 4. On successfully passing the Screening for Design Studies, the completion of formalities is required to ensure the booking of a seat, if available, on the preferred Design course.

Format of the AIEED SCREENING FOR DESIGN STUDIES UG/PG Level
Your registered email address will be notified of the next steps once you complete and submit your AIEED Application Form. A Portfolio of Abilities (PoA) is required to be recorded and shared with us, where you will be able to tell and demonstrate YOUR LIFE STORY and what you hope to achieve in the future. Also, a Statement of Purpose (SoP) will be required, through which you will be able to explain why you are considering studying Design.

Stage I: Psychological Endowments for Design (PED) followed by submission of Statement of Purpose (SOP) & Portfolio of Abilities (PoA)

Scholarships:
Making education a little more accessible, the welfare initiatives at ARCH seeks to shape the future of design aspirants in the right direction. We want them to dream, believe and make happen, come what may. Therefore, to complement academic brilliance and foster the excellence of emerging designers, we are providing scholarships in the following manner:

The scholarship will be given to students on the basis of the following criteria: (anyone would be applicable)

• Cumulative Result of AIEED Exam,
• Performance in past qualification,
• Student achievement at State, National & International Level in Sports or any extracurricular activities,
• Community Projects Undertaken,
• Leadership Skills,
• Scholarship on your Principal's Recommendation,
• Income of the family,
• Children of Defense Personnel, Teachers, Artisans, Single Mothers, Non- Binary and Speciallyabled

Documents supporting your eligibility for the scholarship must be uploaded during the time of the exam. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and will be valid for a set period of time. After all scholarships are claimed, students will not be considered for additional scholarships, even if they meet all requirements.

When asked for by the institution, Documents supporting your eligibility/ bracket for the scholarship must be uploaded, along with the special application you are required to make, requesting such rebates. All Awards are disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis and will be valid for a set period of time. After these are claimed, students will not be considered for additional awards, even if they meet all requirements.

Bank Loans
All leading Banks and Financial services companies provide education loans based on the credentials of Students and their parents, which includes Income, credit history, etc.

Student will be provided a supporting letter from the institution confirming their admission to a course. The student may be required to submit this to the financial institution from where they wish to take the loan.

Please note that ARCH College of Design and Business does not provide loan facility and can only provide supporting letter to help students secure education loan.

Undergraduate (UG) Level Courses
Students who have appeared for/cleared class 10+2 (CBSE/ICSE/IB/State Board/NIOS or equivalent as per UGC Guidelines) are eligible to participate in the AIEED Exam Screening.

Class 10+1 Students can also write AIEED 2023. Qualifying students will be eligible for direct admission in the academic year 2024 after clearing the SCREENING FOR DESIGN.

For progression to a UK University all students admitted to the International BTEC Level 5 HND course, are required to clear the PTE/ IELTS Exam (Academics) within the 1st year of the commencement of the course.

Postgraduate (PG) Level Courses
Graduates or students pursuing graduation in any discipline from a recognised university can apply for these courses.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
The Admission office helps the International students looking for admission in Undergraduate or Post Graduate Programmes at the ARCH College. This office provides career counselling for the students to enable them to choose academic fields of their interest.

An International Students Advisor looks after the interests of the international students and co-ordinates all activities related to them with the affiliated University/ Institution. This office examines all the documents such as mark sheets and academic certificates to assess the eligibility of the students and their equivalence for the admission to various courses and takes care of admitting International Students for pursuing higher studies. Visa, Passport and No objection Certificates issued by the Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India are examined from time to time so that International Students do not face any difficulty over the course of time.
