    + Guidelines/Instructions to the Candidates

    PLEASE FOLLOW THE GIVEN GUIDELINES/INSTRUCTIONS/CODE of CONDUCT CAREFULLY
    • A working Mic and webcam enabled Computer/Laptop with good, stable internet connection and power backup is mandatory for taking up the online test.
    • Artificial Intelligence proctoring is enabled. The test will be automatically locked if there is a breach of threshold in the code of conduct by the test taker. The software is capable of tracking eye movement, and navigating between test window and any other application running in the computer. The test portal will capture both the Audio and Video of the test. Additionally, human proctoring may also be there from time to time.
    • There may be time alerts through the software, however it is the responsibility of the student to manage the time.
    • You must join the test at least 30 mins before the scheduled time to avoid delays due to technical glitches.
    • Impersonation/presence of another person other than the applicant will be treated as mal practice.
    • Copy of the Admit card issued by the University and Photo ID issued by the State or Central Government should be produced for verification at any point during the test.
    • Presence or using the following items (a) Subject Text Books (b) Study Notes or any other written sheets (c) Formula Sheets (iv) Scientific Calculator and/or such other gadgets during the test is strictly prohibited.
    • You must sit in front of the webcam connected to/of your computer/laptop in such a way that Proctor should be able to see you clearly and observe your entire activity.
    • You should start attempting the first question within 20 minutes of the scheduled start time of the test.
    • Ensure to close all other softwares/applications/windows before start of the exam.
    • Do not use headphones, ear buds, or any other type of listening equipment during the exam.
    • Any violation from the above mentioned guidelines/instructions/code of conduct will be marked as "Unsatisfactory" by the system or the human proctor which will result in termination of the test and will be treated as malpractice/misconduct.

    Selection Process for Under Graduate programs with Audition
    Process Particulars Date Mode
    Audition & Personal Interview (PI) BA TEP : Candidatesmust prepare a monologue in English using the script from any published play. It should be a video recorded (2-3 Minutes) and sent to head.theatrestudies@christuniversity.in. FIVE days before the Interview. The candidates can perform the same during the admission interview if the panel asks for it as part of spot improvisation.
    * The candidate should have an appreciation in Western Theatre.
    Duration: 20 minutes BA MPE: Candidate is to record a video of themselves performing contrasting two pieces according to the following guidelines:
    • Candidates are to perform a minimum of two pieces of western traditional art music.
    • Candidates are to state the sentence "This recording is for my 2021 audition to BA-MPE at christ university. I will be performing [introduce your piece name and composer]"
    • If two separate recordings are made, this introductory sentence is to be repeated at the beginning of the second recording.
    • These pieces must be contrasting in styles (to display both technical and emotional abilities).
    • An individual piece is to be roughly 3-5 minutes in length as a minimum. No repeats within a piece are necessary.
    • The camera should be pointed in a way to show the performer (and piano keyboard if applying) clearly. 
    • Ensure that the audio quality is sufficiently audible, and that your audition is recorded in one take.
    • Please note that audition videos will be accepted.for voice or piano only.
    • Posture and technique will be considered when watching your video.
    • It is mandatory for the video to be sent before your interview, otherwise your interview will be forfeited.
    1) Once recorded, the candidate is to upload their video to either Google Drive or YouTube with access and/or external viewing enabled so faculty can watch the recording. 
    2) Candidate is to email a link to their recorded video to  hod.music@christuniversity.in by at least one day before the date of their interview.
    3) During the interview with the department of music, each candidate will be asked to undertake some basic musical aural tests such as imitating rhythms and melodies; and will be interviewed based on their professionalism, attitude, academic and musical experiences.

    BA PEP : Candidates must prepare a Dance (Bharathanatyam or Semi classical dance , not freestyle), Music (Carnatic/Hindustani or Light Music), Monologue (Monologue should be in English using the script from any published play)
    1) It should be a video recorded for 2-3 minutes
    2) The video recorded should be sent five days before the interview to the following email Id –

    3) The candidate will be asked to perform the same during the admission.
    4) The candidate should have an interest in any one of the following art form – Indian classical
    Dance/Indian classical Music/Indian Theatre.

    Important Instructions:
    • Read all Important Links (Eligibility, Documents requirements etc) thoroughly.
    • The date and time for the selection process are auto-generated by the system. Therefore, any request for changes will not be entertained.
    • A Google calendar invite will be sent to your registered email id, ONE day before the MP/PI selection process.
    • Candidates failing to appear for the selection process at the stipulated date and time will be considered as “Not Selected”.
    • Candidates must show the original Government recognized photo identity card (Aadhar card/Passport/Voter ID/Recent College ID card) for attending the online selection process. Failing which the application will be considered as “Not Selected”.
    • All original Class 10, Class 12, Degree Marks Card (Students pursuing their final year must have the statement of marks up to the previous semester/year) should be available for verification during the personal interview round.
    • It is recommended to login atleast 15mts before the scheduled time to avoid any last-minute technical glitches.
    • Impersonation or any suspicious behaviour (prompting by a third person or accessing notes/gadgets) will be treated as malpractice and the application will be termed as “Not Selected”.
    • The responsibility of satisfying the eligibility criteria for admission rests with the student/candidate. The issue of the E-Admit Card for the selection process does not imply that the eligibility criteria are satisfied.
