The LSAT-IndiaTM is a test of high-level reading, informal reasoning, and deductive reasoning skills. These acquired critical thinking skills are essential to succeed in law college and in the practise of the law. The LSAT-IndiaTM was developed specifically to be used by law colleges in India. It will be administered online across India in 2021.
LSAT—IndiaTM Question Paper Pattern
The LSAT—India assesses critical thinking skills with three types of multiple-choice questions, as follows:
  • Analytical Reasoning
    These questions test deductive reasoning skills by requiring you to deduce what could or must be the case about a certain scenario, based on some rules and conditions.

  • Logical Reasoning
    These questions evaluate your ability to understand, analyse, criticise, and complete a variety of arguments contained in short passages.

  • Reading Comprehension
    These questions measure your ability to read, with understanding and insight, examples of lengthy and complex materials similar to those commonly encountered in law colleges.

LSAT—IndiaTM by the Numbers

LSAT—IndiaTM Scores
While you will receive credit for the correct answers, there is no negative marking or penalty for incorrect answers. Accordingly, be sure to save some time at the end of each section to fill answers to any unanswered questions.

You will receive a scaled score between 420 and 480, a score band, as well as a percentile rank.

Register for the LSAT—IndiaTM
The LSAT—IndiaTM will be administered online across India in March and June 2021.You can choose to take the test in March and use the scores for your law college application. You can also retest in June and have your best scores reported to your preferred colleges for admissions. You should complete and submit an online application via the registration portal for either or both tests. You may also purchase The Official LSAT—IndiaTM Handbook and The Official LSAT—IndiaTM SuperPrep.

Before you register, research the law degree programmes in which you are interested. It is your responsibility to understand the eligibility requirements and admission procedures of the law colleges.
